Said he's not losing weight. He's eating more than he realizes. No way you could eat 1,000 calories a day and not lose weight. And eating too little won't prevent you from losing weight. Same place you got yours, I'd wager.

It really is all about what works for you. As far as losing weight is concerned, I don't think it matters when you eat. But it sure matters to you if you get hungry! It's also interesting to note that, often, when people say it doesn't matter, they follow up with "As long as it's in a specific window of time and I get my…

It might be. How much weight did you tell it you wanted to lose per week?
-
Okay  I'm really not trying to tell you what to do or even saying you're wrong. Just sharing what I've learned.
-
Wait. Other people don't do that?
-
It's also more difficult to lose weight if you're already at a healthy weight. Why do you think you want to lose more? Losing weight won't make you stronger.
-
It's pretty common to have a week where you don't lose anything. I wouldn't worry about it. If it keeps up for a few weeks, you need to adjust your calories down a little. Eating more will not result in more weight loss.
-
Someone already said that.

From this post, it sounds like you should be losing weight. Maybe the Skinny Fiber is what's preventing you from losing it. I'm kidding, but of course you're getting smaller if you changed eating habits for the better and started working out. Track your calories and exercise, create a deficit and I bet you'll see the scale…

This sounds super shady. I looked up their site to see how it's supposed to work. This is what's on the "How does it work" page. "How many times have you tried a diet or weight loss program, followed all the directions, and didn’t get results? It’s not your fault! "One of the most important factors when it comes to weight…

Oh, you can find that stuff all over the place. It'll probably be on Dr. Oz today too. lol That's kind of the problem - there's a TON of information about losing weight out there and most of it is misleading or flat out wrong. What many (hundres? thousands?) of people here have proven time and again, it really all comes…

Ticker is on "settings" on the forum part. Not the "settings at the top of the page. The one between "My Topics" and "Search". Positive friends ftw. I'll send a request.

I think "starvation mode" is kind of a myth. There are a load of good threads about it on here. I used to think that was a thing too, but after reading some stuff on here, I'm pretty sure it's not. Actually, when I kind of stall, I just cut the calories way down for a day or two. So far it's always seemed to get things…

lol

Well. I mean. Why have a label at all then? Not poking, just asking. If you're going to put the label on it, might as well be as useful as possible. If you have to research before hand, kind of defeats the purpose.

Not if she's not losing weight. Calorie deficit = weight loss. Eating more is going the wrong way.
-
Not for long. Everyone else would leave.

Asking for advice seems the opposite of making an excuse. Solutions =/= excuse.

I guess it kind of depends. It does seem like sometimes they make the serving size unrealistically low so the calorie number seems smaller. But you make a good point. An example: I eat Fig Newtons when I want a cookie. Serving size is 2 cookies. For "old me" that was unrealistically small. "New me" actually eats two…

I often forget to take my reading glasses to the store and will appreciate it being bigger.

Good point. Let's bump this one again. lol

All the suggestions to add a little movement. One more- drink loads of water. Makes you have to pee all the time, so you'll be getting up and going to the bathroom a lot.

I'm going to look at some diet changes. I think I got obsessed with the protein thing and just neglected some other things. Berries and grapes and such are awesome snacks I used to eat a lot more of, and it's not like you take much of a calorie hit with them. But the supplement is working well on that last point. I'm…

Nothing to add. Two great replies above. Well said.

I don't think that would work for me... yet.

Exactly what I was going to say. Even if you don't train up to the full distance, you might be surprised what the energy of an event can do for you. And if you have to walk some of it, guarantee you won't be the only one.
-
I'm jealous of people who seem to lose it where they want to. That's not a lot of weight, but that's an amazing difference. You look super.

For me, I don't feel any need for snacks in any distance I've run. Most I've run is half marathon distance, though. For the 26.2 set, I can see how some kind of fuel you can absorb quickly could be great.
-
Wow, I'm impressed. Long runs on a treadmill feel like forever. Once I get over 8 or 9, it becomes really difficult. Good for you for getting it done!

Cool. I say if you're hitting your macros, aren't losing weight at an unsafe rate, don't feel weak or tired all the time, or some other sign of a problem, you're probably good. Just keep it in the back of your mind and if you feel like you're not getting enough energy, maybe adjust.
