I'll have to yell at my kids for not telling me about this. I. Um. What would I... Never mind.

At the risk of being a cliche, just do it. Don't think about running. Just put your running gear on. Then, don't think about it, just walk outside. Take the first step. Keep thinking about excuses for not doing it as the miles click by. Before you know it you're done. Repeat.

I suspect sanctuary can't be another dysfunctional mess like Woodberry. Maybe a plot device to allow some of them to be reunited. Predictions: 1. One of the split off groups doesn't make it. 2. Carol didn't kill the people at the prison - the psycho girl did after Carol taught her how to use a knife. Carol felt responsible…

Uuuuum. You have a different definition of "isn't very effective" than I do. It varies from year to year, but the numbers I've seen published say it ranges from 70% to 90% effective.

Well I did say "*probably * not". lol

Um. Yes and no. It depends. You want to eat enough so you're getting good fuel and nutrition. You don't want your body just dropping weight from anywhere. Getting good protein and enough calories keeps things going the right way. Exercise helps too. All of that makes sure you're losing fat, which is what you really want.…

Most of your post sounds very reasonable. I just couldn't help but think - I followed my instincts on diet and ended up 30 lbs. over weight, even after training for and running a half marathon. Instincts can be great, but when they're influenced by a culture that promotes a lot of misleading information, they can run afoul…

Just to be fair, I've lost 21 pounds and I've *added* cheese and meat to my diet. My diet while gaining weight had a lot more carbs in it and much less protein. But that lends little to support what it's saying, since the study didn't talk about weight at all, which I'd wager is a big part of the flaw in the logic. (edit)…

1. - The report is everywhere, not just Fox. 2. - I had the same reaction as the post above. I didn't see, in the reports I looked at, any account of what other coinciding conditions occurred or any attempt to account for them. I'm guessing people around here eat a lot of protein because they're doing a lot of work and…

It looks like the number of adverse reactions is really, really, really small. And 97% of them are "non serious". http://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/Vaccines/HPV/index.html "In the United States, post-licensure vaccine safety monitoring and evaluation are conducted independently by federal agencies and vaccine manufacturers.…

It would interest me. Wasn't able to find anything on google. Do you have a link to more info? Seriously asking, not pokin' on you. Though I'll admit I'm skeptical.

Flu vaccine does not cause the flu. It just doesn't. Period. End of story. It is a myth. 100% of the time, in every case. No exceptions, no special cases. It can not happen. Flu vaccine also does not prevent 100% of flu. It never claimed to.

I don't know if they need to get everyone together, but they need to get it moving. The last one really felt like filler. This needs to be leading somewhere. I have a feeling in the next few weeks, something big will happen. This has all felt like "set up" to me.

I volunteer to get it every year and I never get sick. Clearly your belief is what makes the difference. lol

I don't really care if people get a flu vaccine. Knock yourself out. I've had the flu once in my life (For sure, anyway. Real sick another time but not sure it was "flu"). The real-live, actual flu - an infection of influenza - is really, really nasty. I kind of lost a week sort of in and out of a haze. You bet your life,…

I thought McCarthy's kid turned out not to be Autistic after all. Or was that just a magazine headline? Can't honestly say I follow that saga.

I kinda, sorta did a bit a few weeks ago. But now that I'm into "normal" BMI, I mostly just get ticked when I look in the mirror. I *would* be sexy if I'd spent all those years getting buff instead of getting fat. Now I'm just a thin guy who still has some fat around the belly and a lot of work to do.

Vaccines make kids go into starvation mode.

I started last week of Dec. and am down 22 lbs. So it was more like 10 weeks. But really, the first five or six fell off really fast - the so called "water weight". And I expect it to come back as soon as I stop eating at a deficit, so I'm somewhat short of your goal in reality. I eat around 1,700 calories a day with a…

We make our own here too. Just a normal crust, but we do use whole wheat flower. I look at the labels and pic a sauce that doesn't seem too bad, but they're all similar. Some mozzarella cheese and turkey pepperoni. I just like to make it ourselves because we know what's in it and can measure it for accurate calorie count.…

I'm kinda the opposite. I run, and my legs look super. But no muscle up top. Work to do.

After a tough work out, I usually drink a protein shake when I get home from the gym. As for the effectiveness of this strategy, I have no idea. My instincts say if you're getting enough protein, the timing probably isn't all that critical.

Rrrg. I know. Ruins the otherwise perfect snack.

The only issue I've ever had with treadmill training is maintaining pace once you transition to outside. But it usually only takes me a few runs to figure it out. I'm training for a half right now and I think I've only had two outside runs. I'm not worried about it. I'll hit the trail when the weather improves. I did…

It's awesome anyway. lol

We got a 2003 SLK 230 for my wife. She loves it. It really is a neat little car.

I'll look for the buns too. I use the bread for buns right now. At 45 calories, best option I've seen.

What does minimum wage have to do with making enough money to live on?

I don't tip because society says I have to. Alright, I mean I'll tip if somebody really deserves a tip. If they put forth the effort, I'll give them something extra. But I mean, this tipping automatically, it's for the birds. As far as I'm concerned they're just doing their job. Look, I ordered coffee, alright? And we been…

Someone eating 900 calories isn't working out as much as that. I'd place a bet neither number is accurate. Getting this stuff recorded accurately is a lot harder than I realized when I started. I can feel it when I don't get a good night's sleep, or don't work in a meal a couple of hours before a run. I had a tough 3 miles…
