Any low carbers are free to add me too. My diary is open to friends. I just started back today after a messy 5 month absence, so I feel like I'm starting over.

Garage Update: Cuda project is taking too long. Now there's a red C5 Z51 sitting next to the Camaro in the garage.

I'm guessing, rice? But, it could just be the effects of supply and demand. :-)

@Tigerblood78 Some mopars are worth a ton, but so are other cars. Unfortunately, this cuda isn't one of them, but buying restoration parts for it still costs twice as much. Restored to full showroom condition, it would only be worth about $33,000. I posted questions on other car forums too. So far the price range seems to…

Lol, it's good the wife enjoys it too. 32s would be just right. :-) Have fun with it!

Sounds like a win for you on the trade. The Jeep could totally be as interesting as the Beetle, though. Jack it up and add a snorkel!!! I've seen some pretty wicked jeeps. Or maybe add some tracks. Then you could just run over crappy drivers. :-D

Yep! Farm truck is hilarious. Although, I don't quite understand their relationship... I like Doc too with how he wants to win with an actual race and not because of a technicality.

That's a good thought. There's new rotors on the front from the previous time I changed brake pads. The front rotors were warped and I had a slightly slanted inner pad. I didn't change anything in the back at the time as from quick visual inspection the pads and rotors still looked and felt decent. When I changed pads last…

Update: My Camaro has finally been out and about for a little over a week now, and have managed to fix a few things on it. At the end of last fall my front suspension started creaking and the fuel gauge needle was stuck way past full. By luck, my fuel gauge fixed itself first time out of the garage. Rolled down to the end…

I live in Fargo, ND, so not much for car shows around here. The farthest I've traveled for car shows has been to Phoenix, AZ. I love going to the Barrett-Jackson auction every year in Scottsdale for their January auctions! In the next few years, I'd really like to make a road trip in my Camaro to KY for the Holley LS Fest.

I've seen pictures and videos from this event before. It looks like so much fun! I wish I could make it. I wish they would do that here. There are too many kids in our town that try to race at street lights and such rather than go to the track. The drag strip here is cheap too. I think it was $11 a day last year. I love…

Yuck, body work is my least favorite thing too. I'm terrible at painting. Not a lot happening in North Dakota besides rain, rain, cold, and more rain. Spring came very late and Summer is taking it's sweet old time to get here too. Good for my strawberry plants and apple trees, but bad for my motor hobby. Cruising Broadway…

No! :noway: This is not what the dating world is like! What he did to you (inappropriate touching and forced kissing) is classified as sexual assault under law and is a statutory offence in the U.S., Canada, & U.K. You have a right to take action against him. You deserve far better than him. No woman should have to…

Hmmm... I can't see the URL you posted. Am I the only one? In the meantime, I found this Youtube video last week. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p16J29PZP1k

Hmmm... That's a tough one. Everyone grieves in their own way. When I found out my ex of 6 years cheated on me, I cried, didn't eat or get out of bed for about 4 days. Being around people who cared most about me really helped as did seeing a therapist for several sessions. I also did the things I enjoyed most more often. I…

I always weigh before I cook. It's usually better to over estimate your calories a bit than to under estimate. Also for something like steak, I weigh twice. Once before I cook it, and then I weigh any left over gristle. I subtract the left overs from the original weight. Also a good digital food scale is worth the…

I hit a wall two weeks ago, but have finally broke though I believe. Down .4lbs for a new check-in of 2.91%. :-)

I don't ride sport bike yet, but I will. I'm learning to ride right now on a dirt bike, though I haven't got on it since last summer. There's still snow on the ground here. Yes, you are getting strength workout when you ride! I've read the average rider will burn between 140-200 calories an hour. Obviously, if you ride…

Our water here is disgusting, so I add some zero cal drink mix powder to mask the taste of our water. If I have a glass of decent water, I like to add a slice of cucumber to it instead of lemon or lime. The water tastes very fresh with cucumber. I really like Monster Absolute Zero. The can is very pretty. I'm…

There are many things that could be contributing to not losing weight. It's hard to tell where to start without more info such as current diet details, exercise details, sleep, external factors, genetics, etc. What does your week look like? Also, what is it about your body you're not happy with?

Yah, it was across all of them.

Okay, so after gassing up my car, adding injector cleaner and revving the engine for a while, I still had an idle problem. I got antsy last night, so my boyfriend and I decided to stay up late to change the plugs and wires in the freezing cold. (He's so wonderful. ) Here's what we found: -The plug wire for #2 was…

Cuz, MFP is trying to do like a one size fits all type of calculation. It works for some, but not everyone. Never eat less than 1200 calories. Some experts even say to never eat less than 1400 for women and 1600 for men. You need to go to the doctor to find out your BMR, if you want a more accurate calculation of how much…
-
I concur with the statements above. If I eat 1250 net calories or less I either stall my weight loss or gain weight, but I'll consistently lose at about 1300-1400 net calories and not feel hungry. Everyone is different and you need to figure out what's right for your body. There's a lot of trial and error involved. Maybe…

@rally Nah, I don't have a scanner. It needs more like a OBD "1.5" (odd year 94-95), so the cheaper old scanners are hard to find and the new ones are expensive considering it's a crappy winter car. I've checked codes in the past by shorting the scanner connection and my check engine light will flash the numbers for the…

@Bill You're right about the crappy gaskets. They were replaced somewhere around 125,xxx. I'll add the fuel pressure regulator test to my check list.

@ Cat Last time was the beginning of October. I remember, cuz my boyfriend and I raced our crappy commuter cars one night before it started snowing just for giggles. I got a bad start as I was busy trash talkin' to him out the window, lol. But, I did pull it out in the end by a hair. To be fair, his commuter is a mid size,…
