This. As my row form has improved I've found myself enjoying them a lot more. Do y'all row from the floor at each rep like Mehdi recommends, or do you keep the bar hanging?

In the end, only you are responsible for your diet and exercise choices. You decide what goes into your mouth. You CAN do this. Be a healthy Mom for your kids. Show them that taking care of your body is a part of taking care of the family. It sounds like you are going through a lot right now. Reach out to anyone who can…

Don't worry so much about what others are doing. Go at a pace such that you can complete the workouts in their entirety. If you feel like you can increase your pace, or that you need to decrease it, adjust accordingly.

I really enjoyed reading NROLW and think everyone should read it. However, I personally prefer Strong Lifts and the app, as I find them to be no fuss and easy to follow. DID Y'ALL SEE THAT WARM UP SETS WERE ADDED TO THE APP?!

Eat an adequate amount of protein and lift in order to preserve muscle mass. Don't overthink it.

Wow! Yours disappeared! That's amazing, and congratulations on your weight loss. Most of my stretchmarks are already silver, but I'm hoping with weight loss and increase muscle they'll be even less visible!

You say you are varying your routine, but I'm still not sure what you're doing. Elliptical? Strength training? Treadmill? Yoga? I do Strong Lifts and C25k. Each workout is similarly structured but I'm increasing weight/time running, so it's a new challenge each time. Doing a training program really keeps things from being…

I need to learn how to use gifs for threads like this.

I would pick whichever course I thought would be the most delicious and rich, and then choose lighter options around it. Like I would probably pick the short ribs (rich), and then have the gazpacho and the sorbet (seems lighter).

I personally would weigh them raw. How you cook them affects how much the weigh. I would guess that boiled potatoes would have extra water weight because you cooked them in water, while roasted/baked potatoes would lose a little bit of their water and weigh less. Haven't actually tried though.

It clearly bothers her, or she wouldn't be making a post about it....

Foods that help with weightless are foods that you enjoy that fit into your nutrition goals for the day.

I agree.

In because I'm getting my fitbit One on Saturday and I want to see people's responses.

Great!

In, because people are rude and now we're having the breakfast debate.

You will lose body fat and maintain muscle mass. Once you reach a body weight/body fat percentage you are satisfied with, if you want to shape your butt, continue to weight lift, but eat more calories. That is called a bulk. Read the threads other people posted, they really are helpful.

Me too. I'm 200 pounds right now. I'm going to keep lifting and running and see what I look like at 160, then adjust accordingly.
-
Yeah I'd pick a meat/fish and a veg. They seem to have pretty a pretty good range of food options. Just DON'T EAT THE BREAD. It's like candy.

I really like you people.
-
WHY. Why would you do this to us?!?!
-
Edit: Sorry you're not the OP!

I'm so sorry this happened to you. People who feel bad about themselves will do anything to make themselves better. I imagine if the situation had been reversed, and you were overweight and they were making fun of you, but everyone's personalities were the same, they would still pick on you. As long as they can find…

Today I had pancakes that I stuffed with vanilla greek yogurt and strawberries. I like any mixture of Kashi, granola, nuts, fruit, honey or maple syrup. I know a lot of people use plain greek yogurt in savory dishes as a replacement for sour cream or to add some creaminess and protein.

I'm continually amazed by the difference weight lifting makes. You all look beautiful and STRONG. You make me excited to continue my journey.

I can't think of anything more delicious sounding then a medium rare ribeye off the grill, a fresh veggie salad with balsamic, and a baked sweet potato. Oh don't forget the scoop of ice cream to top it all off. You CAN have it all.

I agree. If we want to stop this - both women AND men. We need to start sanding up against it. This isn't just a ladies only problem. If someone is behaving discriminatorily, be DECENT HUMAN, regardless of your gender, and stand up against it. I'm guilty of not standing up against bad behavior. It's hard to go against what…

I prefer full fat for taste and satiety. The only macro I really pay attention to is protein. Carbs and fat I let full where they may.

This.

Great advice! Thank you everyone!
