Can you push your friends to go to chains where nutritional information is available? Most of the big chains have nutritional information. Ruby Tuesdays has some good lean proteins and vegetable sides, and we have one pretty close to our campus. If you're making pasta I assume you have kitchen access. When you're less…

Two Corn Tortillas, Taco Sized - 100 Calories Two Large Eggs, Scrambled - 140 Calories 1 TSP Vegetable Oil for Scrambling - 40 Calories 28 g Shredded Colby Jack - 120 Calories Whatever raw or cooked vegetables you want, and/or salsa/hot sauce, for your remaining 80 calories. I like peppers and onions. Hold them like tacos…

This has been my pattern for the past two years (4 semesters) - log for the first 2/3 of the semester like a pro. Binge eat the last 1/3 of a semester like crazy. Honestly, I just lack discipline. My friends want to eat out? Okay. The fries taste good? Okay, I'll have so more. Alcohol? Sounds good to me. I'm bad at putting…

Of all the "diets", this is the one that really just baffles me. I can't imagine reading about this and then actually believing the military uses it for... well... anything.

Most of my purchases are dairy. I get a lot of my fruits and veggies in a take-out box from our campus dining hall, and I have frozen chicken and fish. So when I go shopping (usually every other week) I'll get milk, cheese, yogurt, butter, eggs and bread; also I'll get fruits and veggies that I can't get at school…

Right now I'm having a small banana and a tall 2% latte with sugar free vanilla as my homework snack. I find it pretty manageable to fit in if I want it.

I DID IT! I can't believe it. This was the longest I've ever run, ever in my life. It was HARD especially around 10 minutes. But after that it wasn't so bad. :) I'm running into a problem where my right leg seems to be getting worn out sooner than my left leg. My knee begins to hurt and my calf gets tighter on that leg.…

Y'all, I'm supposed to run the 20 minutes today. I'm so nervous and don't feel like I can do it. I'm thinking of repeating the 8 minutes W5D2 one. I completed it but it was HARD and I have a lot of trouble packing myself - even on a track. Should I just try?

I like any type of shredded wheat. I like it plain as a meal with banana and milk. But for dessert I love the Maple Brown Sugar Frosted Mini Wheats.

I really like acorn squash. I cut it in halves or quarters, rub some olive oil on each piece, and bake it in the oven until tender. It can be made sweet (cranberry sauce topping) or savory (cumin, salt, pepper).

Honestly, I wouldn't worry much about her motivation for anything she does.

I love potatoes too. I roast red potatoes with herbs and olive oil a lot, and find I get a lot of bang for my buck. They're cheap and have good (albeit carby) nutrition too. I think they get bad press because of the stuff people load on them - cheese, sour cream, butter etc.

Are you talking about the study you presented? That study was done with mice, not people. That's why I brought up doing something comparable (yet ethical) with people.

Interesting. I wonder what the results would be if you tested the gut bacteria of people with ED and compared it to the bacteria of those who don't have an ED. Of course, that would be correlational, and not causal. Interesting stuff nonetheless, especially because I've learned the most about psychosocial factors…

What are you all planning on doing when the weather is colder (provided you run outside)?

Didn't do so great this week. I'm really letting this senior year of college thing get to me. I'm trying to be as persistent as possible with my exercise because that's what keeps me going the most, but I'm really struggling with food. :/

Intermediate Carol Cardio: 61/80 Strength: 0/50 Within Calories: No Team Challenge: No Sorry y'all, it's been a rough week. :/

I didn't know apples were caffeinated, huh...

I'm not sure what the diet calls for, but I like to make batch of starches/proteins - oats, rice, beans, etc, in the beginning of the week, portions them out, and then eat them however I like later on - on a salad, cold, hot, as tacos, made into a burger, etc.

Maybe readjust when you eat your meals to when you're more hungry, if your schedule allows. There's no reason to follow any specific meal layout/timing if it doesn't work for you.

I can go a couple of days without eating meat and hardly notice it. I usually have one serving or less a day. Mostly because it is expensive and I'm on a college student budget. I do keep frozen chicken and salmon and will usually have that for dinner.

I love making banana pancakes. One or two very ripe bananas, an egg, and whatever spice you like. Soooo good!

I wear Danskin Leggings from Walmart that are moisture Wicking, Target Moisture Wicking Underwear and Sports Bra, and tank tops I got from TJ Maxx. Working Well so far!

Prelog/preportion something sweet into your day. I also find eating lots of filling food (high protein, fiber and fat) help keep me from wanting to overeat on sweets at the end of the day.

I feel you about the college dining hall situation. Do you have access to a kitchen? I'm a senior now, and I live in apartment style housing, so I have both a small meal plan and a kitchen. I cook most of my own meals and will occasionally pack a to-go box full of veggies and fruit at the dining hall. Everyone else…

Thank you for all the breakdowns of products that are in aspartame. I have a diet soda maybe once a week at most, when I'm in the mood. I don't consume artificial sweeteners besides that- not because I think the're "bad" - but because I don't like how they taste. Usually too bitter and too sweet for my liking. If you like…

I'm repeating Week 4 this week. Started off strong last week... Then didn't pace myself and tried to run up a big hill and ended up not finishing. I think I need to stick to flatter surfaces for now!! I'm also doing The Walking Dead fitness challenge, so I'll be adding in some yoga and body weight exercises as part of my…

I picked her also! She is so amazing!!

Maybe try a sugar free latte with an extra shot? I think a tall skim latte with sugar free caramel or hazelnut is 130 calories. And it has protein!
