Yoga. Don't laugh, it works.

First you need to stretch and release chest muscles. Google some. Also try some "chest openers" yoga sequences. You can't strengthen your postural chain with tightened chest muscles. It will be difficult and may require 10 minutes or more of stretching. Once you get your chest released do some upper back and lat…

This. Not all fat is bad.

Grilled chicken, freshly grated mozzarella, on a flour tortilla (because the store was out of whole wheat)

Lmfaaaaaaaaaaao! Trixieloo for the trolling win!

Yeah, it works, but comes at a price. I know many military men who use it before getting taped. As soon as they start eating carbs again, all the weight comes right back. If you are looking for long term weight loss and maintenance, I suggest a diet that is my sustainable.

Me too.... Bikini season B)

Calorie deficits while breastfeeding can be tricky. Your LO is 14 months, I'm guessing she comfort nurses rather than nurses for sustenance. So low milk supply shouldn't be an issue, your goal should be to not dry up, which won't happen as long as she continues to nurse.

It's likely out of habit rather than hunger. My body is used to eating at night, thanks to having 3 little ones. I find decaf hot tea helps curb the instinct to eat once my minions are in bed.

Try google.

You lost 9 lbs, but it's not fat loss. It's mainly water weight.

Back fat should not limit your shoulder's range of motion. It sounds like you have rounded shoulders, causing strain in your traps. Do you have poor posture?

GNC sells a lot of bullchit products too. I wouldn't tell people to go to GNC to buy fat burner pills or raspberry ketones. Unlike herbalife products, protein is scientifically proven to help build and repair muscle.

Plate push aways and fork put-downs.

Well that's enough internet for today. I'm gonna go workout, it's back, bis, and mons pubis day! My favorite!

It's great that your "coach" (lol) keeps you motivated. If buying overpriced worthless products keeps you motivated, then keep doing it. (I'm being serious). But so long as you realize that those products have zero impact on whether you lose weight or not.

Almost any lift can be modified to use dumbbells. But your gym should have standard plates and a standard bar. Just use a standard bar with some light weight plates.

As for the OP question, I prefer to mix cardio and strength training for HIIT. Try mixing up compound movements with your sprinting. Push ups, pull ups, squats, running coupled with isolation lifts with lighter weight and higher reps. (Curls, calf raises, delt raises, chest flies, leg extensions, crunches etc.)
-
What? Are you implying that only fit people can benefit from HIIT? And running at 8 mph gets my heart rate up there. I have short legs and stride. Are you saying I don't benefit from HIIT?

I have 3 kids and working out after they went to bed just didn't work for me. I now have a ghetto garage gym and get up at 5 a.m. To get my workouts in.

I prefer individual dumbbells. Along with barbells and plates. Yeah, it can be expensive, but build your stash as you go. There's no easy way to answer your question. It all depends on what your goals are.

I wouldn't create your own routine. An incomplete routine can cause muscl imbalances, pain and eventually injury. A GOOD personal trainer is worth the money. A few sessions is all you need to get a routine set up for you and pointers about form. Then hire a personal trainer again every 6-8 weeks for reassessment and…

Negged for talking chit about Jillian michaels.

Both are rich. Syrah is more earthy and smooth while Shiraz is more fruity and biting.

Argentina malbec or French malbecs? If you like Argentina malbec you will probably like Syrah/Shiraz. Syrah (california) are usually smoother than powerful and biting Australian Shiraz. Same grape, different terroir. Oh, and far as alcohol goes, liquor has the most alcohol per calorie. Speyside or highland scotch is an…

Yeah, I don't need hardcore shoes. I hate running, I will never be a runner. I just do it for cut and maintenance cycles.

I'm a wine snob. Dinner just isn't dinner without wine.

My house smells like fish most days after lunch. I'm glad I don't currently work or I would be pissing people off in the office.

Honestly, it's not that hard to be flexible while dieting. Every restaurant I have ever been to (not fast food) offers some sort of salad/salad bar, chicken, fish or even steak and plenty of side veggies. Just because you go to a restaurant doesn't mean you automatically have to order nachos for an appetizer and fried…
