  • I bought their version of maple syrup at a local grocery store. While the consistency is too runny if you like thick syrup on your pancakes, since I don't make pancakes at home, I primarily it as a marinade for my skinless chicken breasts and pork chops. It adds a hint of sweet savoriness without the cals, sugar, and…
  • Thanks for posting this info. =)
  • Interesting find! It would be cool if they made them bigger though. How do you know when to toss it (excuse me, recycle it)? I use a filtered pitcher that goes by monthly usage and not number of times. I guess you'll know when the water starts to taste unfiltered?
  • Speaking of zombies, pick up a copy of (or download for free on your e-reader from a library-or borrow from library) "Brains: A Zombie Memoir" by Robin Becker. I don't think I've laughed so much at a book in long time. It's a bit gory (hey, it's zombies from their perspective) but the tongue-in-cheek is so well done, you…

  • That's true. I guess the editor should've distinguished "carbs" from "starches" as starches are carbs but not all carbs are starches because of a food's water content (i.e. starchy-carb baked potato or bread vs. carb fruit or veggie)
  • I suspect it's the protein and even the bit of fat in that sandwich and beans that will lead to a feeling of prolonged satiety rather than the carbs. Pair all those veggies with some meat (or cold beans/tofu if you're a vegetarian) and you should be fine. You don't have to skimp on the carbs (although try to stay away from…
  • Good advice!
  • Does the first only have 5/5 parts or do you know where the rest is? Bumping to watch the 2nd link later.

  • Wish I'd seen your post before I got my $50 one but I won't despair because I absolutely love mine b/c it zips in the front. I like not having to pull my sweaty bra over my head after a workout. I will keep the one you listed in mind though for the future! In response to your prof pic, Have you ever drank Bailey's from a…
  • I knew you were talking about a machine but you still had me hooked on the prose. Love it. Like your profile pic too, makes me sad that I haven't seen the new Cars 2 movie. Yeh I'm a grown *kitten* woman but I love me some Pixar.
  • This post is genius. Thanks for the laugh. I'm literally 1.2 lbs away from ONEderland today (my weigh day) and it'll be the first since 9 years ago. I really hope it will energize me to lose the rest of the weight after I "cross the border."
  • ROTFLMAO!!!!  Those 2 sentences had me rolling for a good minute. My heart stops and the crunch noise sends shivers throughout my entire body. My biggest phobia is spiders so I can completely empathize with your reaction and situation. Too many legs. Roaches and snakes are gross but spiders take the cake for…
  • I agree. He should kick rocks.....in traffic.
  • Cosigning with the MIO Liquid enhancers. Bottle looks like a tear drop. All of the above natural suggestions are awesome too. I stick with Berry and Fruit Punch MIO b/c they're 0 everything. 2-3 half second squirts for a 16 oz glass/bottle of water is all you need if you absolutely can't get pure water down.
  • Ooooh, I like this. It's like a creme brulee-ish version of smores with the torched marshmallows. Thanks for sharing!
  • Not sure what carb count you're attempting to consume for breakfast but what about meat? Like 2-3 slices of bacon or 2 links of sausage (turkey or pork) with a side of berries? Someone posted an extensive list of low carb alternatives to the recipes forum:…
  • Now that is interesting! Love me some pumpkin. Gonna have to try that next time.
  • Are you a person that if you eat a little carbs, you go overboard (points to myself! haha)? Some people (me included) have to have a structured diet to keep from sabotaging their efforts. I have the same effects you described when I indulge in carb loaded food. I can never go as extreme as Atkins for an extended period of…
  • You won't regret it. So yummy.
  • Just posted a beanless turkey chili on the recipes section of the web site if you're interested. :) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/244130-carb-conscious-slow-cooked-beanless-turkey-chili
  • Present! lol Also, you can do a search for members in your area by going to the "Find Members" tab at the top and searching by zip code if you're truly curious about the amount. In north Dallas bordering Carrollton and Plano btw.
  • But really I'm Welsh, Scotch, English, Blackfoot and Cherokee. Basically my ancestors came over on the boats saw the beautiful native people and started breeding. Closest generation of Native American is my Great Grandmother on my Mom's side. [/quote] I laughed at the Romulan one myself. @Newmamama, we might be connected…
