A dog day at the baseball park sounds wonderful. Usually around here that means dime-a-dog night not bring your dog. Lol I got my 12 miles in and one hour of cardio one in the same. Hope everyone else is doing well today.

Forgot to say 12 miles today and listening to Norah Jones.

Love the pics by the way. I will have to try and remember to snap one on my ride home this evening. And yes Heronh I think that counts for moving and then some.

That's a great goal. I'm doing 240 just to see if I can but I'm like you and have never really set a goal so we will see. Keep up the good work.

I'm right here John! We had a great day yesterday up at Lake Erie. The wife and I also had a victory food wise yesterday. We started out with our normal breakfast at home but the rest of the day would be eating out. We had a piece of grilled chicken for lunch with some coleslaw(KFC) then for a snack a couple pieces…

My goal for the month is to get 12 miles a day x5 a week to total 240. Off to a good start. 8/1 - 20 mi

I had a great day yesterday MFP says if everyday were like yesterday I would lose 40 pounds this month. Lol we're heading up to Lake Erie today just to have a day of relaxation you all have a great day!

Yes really! lol I didn't know if it was something from a thread that I missed or what I assumed and that it was as you say short for Debra Sue. So now I know and I will treat you like the star you are.

That is fantastic cunnaner! clairedover I think anyone can join in. Doesn't seem to be a lot of input from what I see just post your goals and stats.

The riding to work is the easy part it's all down hill. lol Coming home is the fun part. I do plan on taking two days off a week. Right now I am thinking Friday and Sunday. My goal for the move challenge is to to do 12 miles or more a day on the bike 5x a week. I am curious to see how that will affect my weight loss for…

I did not see your original goal, what was it? I am looking forward to the August challenge and hope to make 240 miles. 190 miles is excellent even if you didn't make your goal. Keep up the good work!

For some reason I am blessed with a fairly non odorous body. I even asked my wife just to make sure and she agrees. Lol I still go ahead and clean up and wash off afterward. But my clothes do seem good to go.

I know this is an old thread but I was going to start one to see who all rode to work. There are some great ideas here. I have a desktop but do use the VPN so no choice of carrying home. I'm on call 24/7 so I have to have access at home. I'm am lucky that from door to door I am only a mile from my house. I have been trying…

I don't know much about tires so probably no help. I have had two Raleigh bikes and just put the ones they use back on my latest. They seem to be good for me not sure how they stack up to others. They are Kenda K841A With K-Sheild.

I'm fat and I bike does that qualify? lol I have been seeing more and more of these in my area. I wouldn't mind having one for riding to work in the winter but for the most part streets get cleared pretty quick here and I'm a road and path rider so probably will not justify the cost.
-
LOL Love it! I ride to work daily but luckily I'm only a mile from my home. The rest of the time I tend to stay on the many bike paths we have around town.
-
Cool story I love things like this!

I have been riding with weights of 275-350 and have not experienced flats. I did have a blowout this past week. The tires showed some dry rot but the culprit was probably under inflation. My pump has a built in gauge and when I checked it the pump showed 15 lbs less pressure then the tire gauge I just bought, so I"m pretty…

I love Sriracha that stuff is awesome. I picked up a new used bike this winter so I have been buying a few things. Phone holder so I can use Map My Ride. Water bottle rack. Giro helmet and mirror. Studded pedals. Street tires Kenda K841A with K-Shield. Back Rack, still need saddle bags. Still on my list is a tool kit and…

Hi all, I'm just getting back into bikes. I have some back issues that left me with a numb left foot and leg so I went to walking because of the way it felt on the bike. Well now my knees are shot so I'm back to bikes. lol The lessor of two evils. I have to exercise to lose and keep weight off, I was 490 at my heaviest and…
-
I don't know about others as it seems like some on here are pretty heavy bikers and put a lot of miles in. With me it's just a goal of getting exercise. I am trying to do an hour a day 5x a week and that generally gives me 12 miles a day. I only try to compete against my own times using Map My Ride on my phone. I don't pay…

Wow Carol, I am tired just after reading your post. That sounds exhausting. John, thanks for the kudos! I got another 12 miles in yesterday but I have to say doing my morning 4 miles this morning I felt like it was three times as hard as the last two days. My butt is dragging for some reason today. My stats on Map My Ride…

Also looking forward to August challenge 7/27 - 12 miles 7/28 - 12 miles 7/29 - 12 miles

Good day everyone! I had a fun night last night. I blew a tire on the way home from work, probably due to some dry rot but also found out my air gauge is 15 lbs off so they were under inflated which played a part along with my wight. Under inflated + my wight = not good. lol So I went down to the local bike shop and got…

I'm in! I need to continue my hour of cycling 5-6 days a week. I'm looking forward to seeing how much weight I can drop in august by keeping that going.
-
That is great, I love hearing success stories! I got my 1 hour or exercise in yesterday. That was the first day in many, many days probably since the first of the year that I got a full hour in. I bought a phone holder for my bike last night to make using map my ride a little easier. I made it to work in just over 5…
