Are you eating between 1200 and 1400 cals net? or total? If you're not eating your exercise cals back, your body might be in starvation mode. You can also try staggering your cals to get past a plateau. I started eating 1200 net cals a day and lost really well for a couple weeks, then stopped. Upped my cals to 1400 net…

Are you eating back at least some of your exercise calories? If not, you might have too big of a deficit that's causing your body to guard the fat and slow down your metabolism.

I SECOND THIS!!! Green tea is especially good because it has tons of antioxidants, will help boost your metabolism, has 0 cals, and 0 sugars. It also comes in different flavors (like jasmine, yummy!!). Then there is also black tea and white tea. You're pretty much guaranteed to find at least ONE flavor you like. But beware…

I'm in! I was doing so well sticking to water (and getting enough of it), but lately I've been straying. I'll probably drink some hot tea, too--but since the tea I drink has 0 cals and 0 sugar, I think I'm good. :)

Why not whey protein? I've heard that it's the best kind of protein for building muscle...

I used to be a "carb-o-vore"... this week will be interesting. Bring it on! xD

Shakira and Amanda Bynes. Amanda Bynes is totally adorable--toned and totally comfortable with herself. I'd also like her sense of humor. She's so funny!

Documentation is so awesome! I think I've only lost 3 pounds so far, but I've lost 3" off my waist--which feels incredible. I haven't gotten around to taking pictures yet (probably this weekend), but I saw a video of myself like a month ago and cannot believe how big I looked. I never want to look like that on camera again…

I haven't had any bad experience with having my diary open to friends, but I have thought of keeping mine totally private. I keep it on public because it makes me feel guiltier when I eat junk, and I'm hoping it will encourage me to do it less. But having it so open also makes me feel ashamed sometimes. I'm new to MFP, and…

I'm in! I need a buddy. :)

This is another of my favorites by one of my favorite upcoming authors: "dare to be incredible. dare to fall flat on your face. dare to take risks in a world of vanilla regurgitations. don't be afraid of being extraordinary. be afraid of being ordinary. believe in yourself. onward and upward. always." ~Tahereh Mafi

Was so busy studying today, I completely forgot about crunches. :( Also, @Taco: the onion rings were pretty seriously disappointing (the breading didn't stick), but all the rest I would definitelydefinitelydefinitely recommend!! I found this article in a magazine years and years and years ago that was like "10 reasons I love myself" or something to that effect. One of the reasons was: "I have a pair of legs that can take me wherever I want to go...regardless whether they jiggle along the way." I cut that out and had it in my wallet for probably…

I love baking chicken covered in stewed tomatoes! I don't think I've ever had a problem with it being tough or dry that way. If you bake your chicken, make sure you've got some extra juices in the pan--that should keep it from drying out.

Aspartame--the sweetener in most diet drinks--can only be broken down by the body into four things. All four of those things are carcinogens. Current studies are also showing a very strong link between diet sodas and dementia. If you're diabetic and NEED to have it, I guess you really can't do anything about it. But if…

In high school, I saw a guy I had a crush on in the hallway and as I turned to say "hi" and give him my most charming smile, I walked into a pillar and fell on my butt. He saw. As did the other 50 or so people who were standing around. I try to watch where I'm walking now...

You should definitely eat back your exercise calories--not doing so could send your body into starvation mode. It's definitely important to eat those calories to keep your metabolism up, and keep your body functioning healthily.

I would definitely recommend checking cals online beforehand. As for specific recommendations--there's this delicious Margareta grilled chicken (with rice and beans) at Chili's. It's one of their lower-cal options (I think about 530 or so for the whole plate). I definitely recommend it! it's so good, and filling! Also,…

I go through spurts with tea (green and otherwise). Sometimes I hardly drink it, sometimes I can't get enough of it. Lately I've been drinking at least 3-5 cups a day (if not more). The benefit, I think, is mostly the antioxidants (SOOO many antioxidants!). There are tons more antioxidants in green tea vs. black tea. And…

Oh yeah, I would definitely make it again! (and I'm eating the leftovers tomorrow!!) It was pretty delicious--and versatile. I'm sure you could probably throw in any spare veggies you have lying around and it would be fantastic!

Thanks for this. It's only my second week on the site, and this weekend I made a lot of bad choices--not working out as much as I should, starving myself for half the day, then loading up on sodium and fat filled calories, etc etc. I felt so hopeless and powerless and I wanted to just give up. This post is exactly what I…

Ohh, this should be a great challenge! I'm trying to target my tummy anyway! And new recipes--well, I've got to get the rest of my family eating healthy, too; and tonight's my night to do dinner! *raids cupboards* xD
