Short interval run - appropriately drenched with sweat - and lifted enough to say that I lifted today - actually, I comfortably did 25-pound plates on the bench press bar today and finished all three sets. Happeeee. Have a beautiful day, running friends!

in re: pockets - I literally got back in my car before my long run yesterday so I could more carefully inspect the darn capri tights I was wearing - what do you mean there are no pockets? There must be a pocket somewhere <practically undressing in search of a pocket>. Nope. Carried my key fob for ten miles.

My understanding (not really but I do believe it) is that you can't build muscle in a deficit. Two things about tights: (1) I used to be old-prude-lady against running tights without shorts over them ... until I tried them. Now I couldn't care less if someone out there thinks I'm showing too much - they are awesome! No chafe, no bother ... that said, (2) We saw a grown man (not that his age would have mattered)…

I did it! Ten miles outside! :smiley: Ran over to Jamestowne Island, water all around, breezy and beautiful, Captain Jack on the ipod ... so lucky.

I eat hard-boiled eggs almost every day - I take two to work and have one with the yolk and one without. Three yolks a week as mentioned in the article above seems reasonable to me. I love the whites.

I don't think there a one-size-fits-all formula. I weigh 160 pounds at age 44. Most people will guess I weigh around 135-140. I have come to separate myself from the target weight ranges and obsession with the scale. I am a runner and a weightlifter who could stand to tighten up a bit. That's enough identity for me.

I'm beginning to think my current weight is a new standard for me. I had hoped to get the pounds off my knees but can't seem to pull it down like I have in the past.
