You seriously rock!
-
Um, why not just eat sensibly and work out? Sounds like you're overthinking things.

I hate running in the heat too! I get up early in the morning to run during the summer months. Just wanted you to know that as you lose weight you will probably be able to tolerate the heat better. That's what happened to me.

That THIS is the difference only 15 pounds makes.

Taking selfies and saying I'm accusing her of taking selfies.

Taking selfies

I run in the rain. I'm going to get wet from sweating anyway, so what does it matter?
-
Wow. Just. Wow. You have my utmost respect. Congratulations and enjoy your new healthy life!

This^^^ YES! Note that it was a guy that said it. THINK LIKE A GUY!

I'm 55, almost 56. I'm 5'1" and used to weigh 174. I weigh 125 now, run most days, and lift weights weekly. Age does NOT limit you. Don't fall into that trap. Be unstoppable.

I eat back most of them. I try to have no more than 200 left over. If i do a long run with a huge burn it is impossible to eat most of them back in one day, so I'll go over other days of the week. So far I've been able to maintain my goal weight.

No. Hell no.
-
I'm 5'1" and reached my goal of 125 Friday. Profile pic is current.

I'm about the same height as you are. My goal was 125, and when I reached 129 I decided I was happy with how I looked and felt, but I wouldn't complain if I lost a few more pounds. So I raised my calories and slowed the loss way down. This allowed me to reassess in smaller increments, plus prepare for maintenance. I had…

Congratulations! It's a great feeling!

I reached my goal of 125 pounds on Friday. Actually beat it. 124.5.

How about someone who is even older than you who was in a much bigger boat but has rowed it to the other side. Please read my profile for the whole story. Would love to support you. Add me if you would like.

For me, yes. I know how to lose weight. I know how to gain weight. I have never maintained my weight loss. That being said, I reached goal yesterday. Yikes!
-
Congratulations on your success! I am 5'1" and reached my goal of 125 today. Judging from your pictures and your measurements, plus the fact that you are 5'2" I would say you are already there! You look fabulous. Of course, every individual has to decide for him or herself, but I wouldn't change a thing.

Wow. Just wow.

No. I married the love of my life when I turned 50. We saved up enough money to build our dream vacation home this year. I started running two years ago at age 53. I ran half marathon distance Sunday, and reached my weight loss goal today. And this is just the beginning......
-
Didn't know I'd reached jaguar status. Cool!

What a beautiful story. What a beautiful message. Thank you for taking the time to share yourself.

Avoid processed food. Be aware of hidden sodium. Cheese? I was shocked at the sodium! Canned foods, frozen food, lunch meats, hummus. :noway:

Weight Watchers is great. I lost a massive amount of weight on their program, and it's inexpensive. There is no harm in trying other things and gaining more knowledge. Even though I'm a member of MFP, I don't follow it's program. All of my settings are custom. I only use it as a tool. Good luck! Hope WW jumpstarts your…

I eat a few bites of a waffle made with light bisquick, a little butter, and a touch of syrup. I wait about a half hour. Since 5K is a short run, this should tide you over.

I was fat most of my life. I worked very hard to become fit and healthy. I started running at age 53, two years ago. Today I ran my first half marathon distance. Do I wish I would have started sooner? Of course. Now I wouldn't trade my new fit body for anything. What are you going to tell yourself when you're my age? Gee I…
