I was just wondering about this topic too. Lately I skip breakfast and just have coffee, this frees up a lot of calories for later in the day so when I cook I feel less like I am on a diet. In the morning I plan out my food for the day on MFP while I drink coffee. Yesterday I decided to experiment and see how things were…

I usually buy thighs because in my market they are always so much cheaper than the more popular breast meat. I don't think it's too hard to balance out if you serve it with veggie sides.

Have you tried creating your own recipes on MFP? You can input all of the ingredients you add while cooking and then how many servings. If I cook that dish again then its already ready to log.

Is it the lactose or the milk itself that you are having problems with? If it's just the lactose then there is some dairy that may not bother you. I only have a hard time with lactose if I am sick, but greek yogurt and hard cheeses don't bother me even if I am more sensitive to it.

Thank you for posting your journey. I'm currently where you used to be and it's really helpful to see that yes it's possible - others have done it. I too have been overweight most of my life.
