I wear a HR monitor while weight training and my burns are always over 600 cal for an hour. Not a bad burn I think! Add 20 mins of cardio after and you could be 800-1000cal! Let alone the benefits you get after the workout Get a HR monitor and see what your actual burn is

You can make things like a healthy filling chili. Beans are really cheap as is ground beef and sometimes you can find ground turkey on sale for less than ground beef.

I'm in Canada (ontario) Not sure if you have Goodlife gyms in NS ... but here if you volunteer in their childminding room for 2hrs a week they give you a free gym membership :)

I like working out alone. I did have a friend join me a couple of times and I felt it took longer to get my workout done. I do have to admit though, some days I wish I had a buddy to spot me on bench presses. I'm too chicken *kitten* to lift out of my comfort zone because I'm worried about dropping the bar on me lol…

I had to harness only one of my children. He was a runner regardless of what you said or did, as soon has his feet hit the pavement he was running. I had 3 children at the time all under the age of 4, my youngest was 3mths old. We were at an Island theme park standing on the waters edge feeding the ducks.. Out of the blue…
