I don't know if I'm actually a geek, maybe more of a dork? I spend several hours a day learning about science/geography/history and have a cat named Buffy :-P ETA: Everyone feel free to add me, I need friends, both on here and IRL. Haha

@Fattyman 30?

You definitely don't look 40!

Sydney, 21! Add me, I'd love some more Australian friends :D

I don't have enough friends to be either the crusher or the crushee. *Insert of a fabulous, hilarious loner meme* I'll just sit here with my fruit salad.

As long as you don't eat anything to replace cigarettes, you should be fine. It's all about calories in and calories out. I heard a rumour that bananas help with cravings, might be worth a shot, however, I have no proof to back it up. Good luck, and just like the above poster said, the health benefits of quitting will far…

Ok, if you notice any of them have ceased being active, don't be suspicious or anything, I've just kidnapped one of them to keep in my lair as a chef/masseuse/serenader.

I'll take a cute guy to crush on. Who's got the box of 'em?

@NicoleRae Either Merida with brown hair or Belle!

I definitely agree about not giving him that sense of hope by saying yes. I would just sit him down and tell him honestly, you don't feel it, and it's never going to happen. If he's so nice, you want him to find someone that can actually love him, and not be stuck on you for ages.

Pretty much everything has some sort of calories, except for water really. I think it's important to make a distinction between zero calories, and foods that have almost negligible calories, like raspberries and spinach leaves, they have so few calories that you can eat a fair bit and still be under 20 or 30 calories.

+1 I went back almost a week in your diary, and you have some kind of take-away everyday, the amount of sodium in take-away food is amazingly high, not only is it bad for your health in general, but sodium helps retain water, so that could be the weight you're seeing. Everyone is suggesting you weigh everything, because it…

This starts tomorrow correct? I weighed myself this morning so I'll just post mine now. Date: 14/1/14 Starting weight : 92kg (December 2013) Weight at start of week : 89.3kg Weight at end of week : 88.4kg Weight in 20 weeks (hopefully): 75kg Days within calorie goal in week : 7 Total hours exercise in week: 3 hours, just…

I usually try to not weigh myself that week, though I normally do. I just make sure I understand the 500g - 1kg (1-2lb) difference is not because I've done something, it's because nature wants us to be cranky for a few days! Just be sure not to eat unnecessarily during it, I normally justify it as, "Well, I think I deserve…

I agree with the above poster, maybe start only weighing yourself once a week. Also, 1/4 of a pound is only 100g! That's barely anything. Your body changes a lot each day, it could be water wait, or food that's still in your system from that day/the night before. I would not be concerned about 100-250g fluctuation each…

2150 Calories - 0 Calories burnt exercising = 2150 Net calories. So your intake for that day was 2150 calories. Does that explain it? 2150 is the calories you ate today. If you had burnt 500 exercising, it would be 1650 (2150-500=1650)
-
Your expectations are too high. It's only been a week! How many calories are you actually eating, being under by 500 calories can be really bad if your goal is only 1200. What are you eating in a day, your diary isn't open so I can't check it. Are you doing any other exercise?

21 year old Psych student here! Sucessfully lost about 25lbs in 2012 with MyPlate, then gained it all back. So I'm starting again, I have about 35lbs to lose. Anyone is welcome to add me, I'm super active and I don't reject anyone! ;-)

Great topic! I love sharing my knowledge. To an extreme extent. Haha, so in other words, I'm kind of a Know-It-All. People do not enjoy it, but I can't help it!

Do you eat dinner with your family often? Maybe you should start with something like that, eating with one person, and gradually increasing. You're right, no one actually cares about how much, or what, you eat. If it's stopping you from being social, or from getting the right amount of calories and nutrients on days that…

HAHAHAHAHAHA. I've never seen that specific Fry Thinking meme before. Love it. ETA: I think this every time someone looks at me for more than 5 seconds.

This is going to make me sound like one of those airhead Millennials, but, what graduating teenager has a cheque book? Haha, everyone just BPays, PayPals and Direct Debits. I guarantee half my graduating class wouldn't even know HOW to write a cheque, let alone balance the whole book, something which I can actually do.…

You can tell it's January when people are at a 5 day streak and are super excited. Get excited when it's a year! (I know this post looks stupid coming from me, but I was on Livestrong for 3 years. I'm only new here).

Thinly sliced baby potatoes baked with a light spritzing of olive oil, some salt and some rosemary and thyme. They're so crunchy and delicious!

I'm in! That's less than a kilo a week, right? I think I can do that! :D Add me :D

I'm a 21-year-old uni student, I don't really ever remember being skinny, I was always chubby, since I was a kid, and people always just said I'd loose it when I got older. And I never did, the biggest I got was about 92kg, so 200lbs, and I have never worn a bikini in public, I don't wear shorts outside, I hate not wearing…
