Insanity MAX.......at least that's my 2 cents. You're already used to the instructor and his style. Just beware that Focus T25 is child's play compared to Insanity MAX.

If the only thing you're nervous about (per your post) is not being able to accurately calculate the calories burned, then I'd say go for it. Here are the things to be truly worried/nervous about.......injuries. Insanity is an intense cardio workout, along with being "balls to the wall" speed wise. While I will probably…

If done correctly (and on your toes, not your knees, back straight), pushups are probably one of the better total body exercises that require no equipment. Yes, the obvious muscles being worked are your shoulders, triceps, and chest. Bear in mind that in its most basic form, a pushup is a form of a plank that moves up and…

I take Hydrochlorothiazide (a diuretic) for my blood pressure, and have had no problems dropping and keeping off the weight. Actually, after my first few weeks taking it, I dropped a little over 5 pounds. It might have been a coincidence, but they could have been related since I probably peed more that first week than I…

I had previously tried Shaun T's Hip Hop Abs. To me, the dance DVDs are a waste of time, hence why I didn't even bother with Cize. As far as Shaun T goes, it's either Insanity MAX:30 or Focus T25 for me.

Nope, no weights.......no equipment whatsoever with Insanity.

I assume you bought it at D I C K ' S Sporting Goods...........gotta love this forum's filter.

Pushups & Squats, maybe throw in some Burpee Pushups too. I did a move from P90X called the Prison Cell Push Up, and those kicked my rear. All should be effective at building muscle, hence burning the fat around your midsection, hence displaying what abs you have.

My wife loves Focus T25. It's only 25 minutes, and she powers through it first thing in the morning before she gets the kids up for school.

Sorry, I meant, "they're an anti-socialist".

Maybe someone really dislikes free stuff. Perhaps they're against an anti-socialist.

I use a few great apps on my Android tablet; BodySpace, Just 6 Weeks, SWORKIT, Workout Trainer, and YAYOG. They're not videos, per se, but they do have brief videos demonstrating the next move.

Here's my brief 2 cents about all of the BB workouts I have done: P90X - Regardless of its age, it's probably one of the best BB programs out there still. Some of the videos I felt were pointless or a waste.......Back & Biceps could have just been omitted. The workouts are covered in some of the other videos. Yoga X, nope,…

On one hand, I thoroughly enjoy it (although sometimes you'll want to mute Tony during his corny jokes). On the other hand, I got bored with P90X after a few weeks in. I've tried and tried to get further, and it's boredom that ultimately gets me to stop. Also, 90 minutes for yoga..........no thanks. I loved any of the…

Like shaunroberts stated, I typically hit the 300 - 500 calorie range depending on the length of the video. You might get a little over 500 with some of the 2nd Month workouts since they are in the 45 - 60 minute time range.

I'm looking to lose another 10 or so. I'm in America, so I have no clue how many stones that is. I'll drop you a friend request, and anybody is welcome to send one my way as well.

Did you want a hug too?

Currently over 600 days so far. I lift, although not necessarily heavy lift, but I am focused on strength training in several forms. Anyone with this dedication, or even those aspiring to, are welcome to friend me.

Agreed.......I would find it increasingly difficult to hit any kind of "MAX" in the second video of a back-to-back Insanity MAX session.

You know what you know based on what you have learned and your experience, and I know what I know based on what I have learned and my experience. We're both right in some aspects, and both wrong in others. This forum thread is going to get real boring (and annoying) if we get in a back-and-forth of we both sharing our…

Watching the CrossFit games has motivated me to say "nope, nope, nopiddy, nope.....big bag of nope" Can I just hate that CrossFit refers to their gym as a "box"?

You say this, yet during the broadcast, below the name of every competitor at every event is the name of the Crossfit organization they represent. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a full competition on ESPN, but do they have a disclaimer that says something to the effect of what you're saying?.........."even though ESPN…

Is it safe, sure.......but like 138shades stated, listen to your body. I remember trying to do double sets of Focus 25, a far less intense alternative to Insanity MAX: 30. A few minutes into the second set, I could feel my body getting exhausted and I wasn't able to push as hard to the point that I was just going through…

This was going to be my suggestion too. They both estimate based upon some algorithm, based upon the information you provide it.......so take both into consideration and average them.
