Ah yes, take the best feature and make it premium. Well, for what I use your app for, it's now on par with Samsung Health. Thanks for saving me the space on my phone as I will be uninstalling well before October 1st.....likely once I finish this post (which I'll be interested to see if the Admins allow it to stay). Your…

Yes, just as easy as it is to enter it manually in another app. It's a good app, but it doesn't have the monopoly on calorie counting and other comparable apps are just as capable. This just seems like a sign of what's to come. Again, I have no problem with creating new features, and then putting that behind a paywall.…

A little thing about "premium" content is it's usually content that has been developed after the application's inception, functionality that enhances the user experience. You don't do this with something that's long-established, has always been a part of the free experience.....being blunt, that's called "*kitten* over"…

Jogging and TRX

I use the C25K app, and I have noticed that my endurance has increased. The program inches you up week by week. As a former smoker, short bursts around the house chasing my kids used to get me winded.....now I can run circles around those little brats.
-
Have I been successful with it? It depends on your definition of success. Have I run a 5K yet.....no, not yet, but I'm not sure that's my aim in using this app. Have I noticed an increase in my endurance.......hell yes, I have. I enjoy using the app with random jogs through my neighborhood, and when jogging on my…

If it's muscular soreness, I power through. If it's joint pain/soreness, I tend to be a bit more cautious. I've had 4 surgeries on my left knee, so if I have a day when I'm experiencing pain or soreness in my left knee, I will either do upper body/core, or I'll modify my lower body workouts.

Avoid anything from Shaun T. Half of his workouts are hokey dance style workouts, kind of like this generation's Richard Simmons. The other half of his workouts are an injury waiting to happen, or just the same thing from DVD to DVD that it makes you wonder why there are some many DVD's to his workouts. Tony Horton,…

I guess the OP just forgot about this post. Haven't heard another peep from her since starting this. So much for accountability.

I'm at Week 3, Day 1. I'm actually doing Week 3 for a second week in a row.....I'm just not ready for Week 4 just yet.

Push-Ups, Squats, Burpees

Love this app. Being a former smoker, and having undergone four knee surgeries, running was a bit of a pipe dream for me. Fast forward to this past weekend, and using my C25K app, I ran/walked almost 6 miles. My speed wasn't blinding by any stretch, completing the run/walk in 1 hour 20 minutes, but the fact that I had the…

It took 73 minutes for this to come up. It was the first thing that came up in my mind.

How funny, I was just reading an article today on this very topic. In the article, they detail a study of those doing fasted and non-fasted workouts, and found no substantial difference between each groups results. Sorry if I don't remember where I read this. I guess you'll just have to trust me that I read this article…

Pushups and burpees.....two of the best no equipment needed, full-body movements.....in my opinion. Been doing pushups regularly, on average between 50 - 200 a week, and have developed no rotator cuff/shoulder issues whatsoever. I even sustained a fractured shoulder blade in a recent car accident, and have been able to get…

Some people only get "stimulated" when they go into a forum and figuratively urinate on a person's question or viewpoint.

Not my type, but we could hang. Grab a beer or something.

I did something similar, but more out of curiosity than anything. I weighed myself before a run. I ran two miles, stopped at a grocery store for a quick pastry (don't judge) and a drink (20oz water). I then ran two miles back home, and I had dropped a pound. I've never done this before, weighing before and after, but I…

Is that Crossfit?

I have no idea if what I wrote made any sense.

When I enter the duration for circuit training, I'll either use that as my workout or I'll use the number of calories burned as my point of reference for creating a workout.

FitnessBlender

Sure, why not.

Like AnvilHead above states, there are two versions of Beachbody (figuratively, not literally). On one hand, I enjoy the workouts. Well, I enjoy almost all of the Tony Horton workouts. Shaun T's workouts Insanity line workouts can be downright dangerous to someone with knee, ankle, hip, or lower back issues, and his dance…

Have you heard the phrase "avoid it like the plague". Well, picture something worse than the plague, and still avoid it. Beachbody "Coaching", like all MLM's, will show you who your true friends are.......because all of them will avoid you like the aforementioned item that you pictured which is worse than the plague.…

I like Endomondo for distance walking and running, and have found it to be somewhat accurate. I also use Endomondo with a Zephyr HRM during strength and cardio workouts.

Not a DVD, but FitnessBlender is awesome.

Fitnessblender.com........agreed. Great workouts, and free.
-
Just log it as circuit training, or create your own workout.

If you don't have any moral issue with using BitTorrent sites, you can find programs like P90X, Insanity and others at absolutely no cost.
