Great job! You look terrific!!!:flowerforyou:

When I travel I like to look for a hotel with a gym, or google search for gyms close by. Often times I can get a day or week pass and go a couple times while I'm on vacation. If not, I like to go for walks or jogs, do yoga (mats are light and fit in large suitcases! :)), and/or do a circuit lifting routine that gets my…

Welcome to MFP!!

Hello and Welcome!!! :)

Ditto! :)

That's the amount of calories you need to eat if you don't do any activity at all I think, and are sedentary...working out definitely ups the calories (my daily intake when I workout to lose a pound a week usually jumps from 1230 to 1700 or 1800), as does just being active (example= food preparation/cooking, cleaning the…

I agree, high stress and lack of sleep can inhibit weight loss. Your body needs time to recover from workouts/your busy day during your 7-8 hours of sleep...on hard workout days I often need closer to 9! And it's all definitely about a lifestyle change...eating healthier and working out/becoming active are great steps in…

I heart yoga!! :flowerforyou: I used to do half marathons/half ironmans, but took a break because I was having knee soreness. I did more cross training and weight lifting for awhile, then last summer I added yoga into the mix...and what a difference! The balancing postures have helped me even out muscles that were…

Congrats, awesome job! :)

I agree with this, too! :)

Nice! Thanks for sharing! :)

Hmm, that formula doesn't sound right, do you mind me asking where it's from? :)

I love to workout, which requires me to eat more food, so my caloric intake can be higher and still lose weight which I like. I personally feel better/lose weight faster that way, otherwise I feel like my metabolism slows down and my hunger levels drop too much.

I agree with everyone who's posted, abdominal/core exercises are important to strengthen/build muscle/tone abs, but to lose what's covering them, cardio's important and nutrition's super important. :) In my case I've always worked out a lot but my portions were too big/I grazed too much...it really is 80% about nutrition!…

One of my close friends who used to live upstairs from me had one and she LOVED it, she was on it at least 5 days a week. Every time I went over and jumped on it I broke a sweat...and a huge smile! It's a very joyful activity I think. :) My only note of advice would be if you have a downstairs neighbor, don't jump at too…

Mmm, skewers on the grill or a stir fry sound good with those! :) I made a gluten-free pasta with zucchini and goat cheese with shrimp from Real Simple magazine to celebrate vday with my husband...delicious! :)

Congrats!!! :) That's awesome!

Congrats you look amazing!! :)

I've heard your most accurate weight is when you first wake up, after you go to the bathroom. I also only like to weigh in once a week, unless the number seems abnormal (like after too much sodium or during my time of the month), then I'll do it twice in one week to check it.

Thanks for the great suggestions! We love trying new healthy recipes!! :)

No, I always go over. I usually have 1-1.8 g/kg of body weight (1.8= when I"m into a lot of lifting/athletics), which is what's usually recommended. :)

Ooh I'll definitely look into chickpea burgers with guacomole and sweet potato fries, thanks!! :) I love most vegetarian dishes, it's more a matter of finding ones my husband will eat! ;)

Congratulations!!! :)

Increasing it helps me get leaned out personally, I go up between levels 10-12 for 30-60 minutes. It helps me tone and burn! :)

I love spinning and treadmill workouts (whether running or alternating walking with running/sprinting), and I'm really into lifting, but my favorite is yoga. It can be pretty hard and you can work up a sweat, but I find that most of all it really helps me connect with an appreciate my body and want to treat it better (so…

I agree, it's a good idea to get clearing from your physician to exercise if you are a beginner.

A grilled salmon or halibut is always great! Tuna, too, as long as you don't eat it often in your diet because of the mercury. I usually get a fish with a side of veggies and, if they have it, brown rice. The culprits I shy away from are cream based soups and sauces, and the bread basket. Hope you have a nice dinner! :)

Mine used to be anywhere from a 31-40 day cycle, but since I became pescetarian a couple months ago and started getting in better shape, I've changed to a 28 day cycle. While I miss having it less often, I definitely don't miss the PMS that's all disappeared! :)
