I do eat back what I exercise. So if I have 1200..I workout and get an extra 200-300 and actually eat about 1500 calories. Yes, the MFP set those calories and goals as losing 2lbs a week. I was at 1lb a week but thought it wasn't enough to get to my goal.

salads are actually a very good source of almost no calories for me. fills me up. if you do not put on such things as heavy dressing, cheese or meat there is virtually no calories in just vegetables.

and I would also say do not eat nutritional bars or protein shakes unless they are low in calories..most of them are very high in calories and do not fill you up for very long.

Hi, I am about the same here as far as calories (1290) and I have managed to make it work. If you need some advice I can help. I am 1290 calories a day and at times it is hard but for the most part doable if I exercise for just 20min a day.
