  • When that has happened to me, it was because I had my laces tied to tight...when I loosened them up, tingling went away! But if that doesn't help, then the Dr should be able to help you out.
  • Thanks!!! What changes have I made since starting MFP? I do eat breakfast...almost everyday and I did not before. I get much more exercise then I did before...I am eating healthier and watching portions and trying to limit sodium (not eating as much processed foods and more self prepared)...I am going out to eat less, but…
  • Love my Polar F6...has a chest strap...works well!
  • I just started taking Zumba class and have been doing Body Pump for about 3 months. I love them both! I know that you can get Zumba for at home...not sure about Body Pump...I take classes at my local Y.
  • Looks like a blast! Maybe someday!!!
  • Way to Go! That is so great! I am just short of 30 pounds by 1 pound as well and it feels great. I am looking forward to hitting that 40 pound mark!
  • Just sent a request your way! Looks like we are on a similar journey...and at about the same point! Welcome!
  • I was up about 4 pounds today after being on a high carb/high sodium weekend...Yikes! I stepped on the scale because I did want to see what the sodium overload did and I was expecting it, so really no surprise...I tried to log everything yesterday and I know I missed some stuff, so I chalk it up to the holiday weekend with…
  • Ham, mashed potatos, green bean/cream of mush soup/french's onion, corn, salad, a wonderful vanilla pudding/buttermilk/madrin orange/fudge strip cookie dessert salad, and a wheat dinner roll...that was lunch! Then for snack some of my mom's wonderful choc brownies and a couple of small pieces of candy. :blushing: Dinner I…
  • I recommend a hybrid bike/comfort bike. I love mine! Mountain bike tires are much larger than on the comfort bike and if you are mainly riding on paved roads, you will move slower than on the narrower tires that are on the comfort bikes. I am not sure what you mean by inexpensive, but I do recommend going to a bike shop…
  • Hi MB!!! So glad you joined...I am proud of you and I look forward to sharing this journey with you! We can do it!!! (Wouldn't it be great to get back to where we were when we were in college??? )
  • Thank you for those words! I am going to take them and post them where I can see them daily!
  • Thanks Ed! What a wonderful way to start a weekend! You have a great weekend too and Happy Easter! I hope that your family all gets better soon!
  • Welcome!!! This is a great community of people who are here to all help each other out. I have been on MFP for about 3 or 4 weeks now but on my weight loss journey since the end of January...I have found a couple of classes at the Y that I love and I log pretty much everything I put in my mouth. So, my biggest piece of…

  • Thank you! I just accepted your friend request (thank you!!! ) and I have found that my size doesn't matter...when I was younger, and often the largest girl there, I was made to feel that I was "fat" even though for my height I was pretty much in the range I should be. Then as I gained weight with 2 kids and just…
  • I just tried my first Zumba class earlier this week...have been wanting to for a long time, but they did not offer it at the Y I go to. They just started offering it a couple of weeks ago and I finally was able to go...what fun! (Need to buy new shoes though...running shoes do not work! ) I really like it and…
  • Welcome Searbear! I too have over 150 pounds to lose and have been on here for almost 3 weeks now. I started my journey at the end of January and so far have lost 28 pounds. I am taking small goals too...every 10 pounds right now...with my first major goal of 50 pounds by June 23rd. I haven't set the next big goal yet or…
  • Yes, I think it is possible! I have been working on the eating healthier for a few weeks now and I do not crave my vices that I had before as much as I used to. I used to drink lots of Diet Coke every day and I haven't had one in 6 weeks, and the thought of it now makes me almost sick...I have found that I am trying many…
  • I am so glad you enjoyed the class! It is very addicting and I feel lost when I don't get to class...and I predict you will be feeling the burn/pain! I came back to this entry just to see if you posted after class...was glad you did! Have a great evening!
  • I agree with everyone...I love Body Pump! I have been going to classes for almost 2 months and it is a great class. I typically burn about 400-600 calories each class. I have a HRM, so I have been logging as Body Pump, but I think under the Cardio section there is strength training so that you can input your time spent in…
  • I am in my 6th week of breaking my addiction to Diet Coke. I have replaced it mainly with green tea, white tea, water, and occasional lemonade. I usually use Lipton singles or Crystal Light singles in water. :drinker:
  • Welcome!

  • I say breakfast...I used to not eat breakfast, but I do now and it really helps! :flowerforyou:
  • To make sure that I drink water, I have a camelback water bottle that has a straw rather than a wide mouth or a regular "pop up" top and I carry it with me everywhere I go. It is 24 ozs, so basically drink one bottle and you have 3 glasses of water drank. I have found that if I have it with me all the time, I have no…
  • It is on here while my Body Pump class is going on so I record it and I am watching it now! I look forward to it every week too!
  • Polar's are about the best...I have a F6 which I love. I got it at D i c k's Sporting goods.
  • Welcome...feel free to add me if you want. I also realized at the beginning of this year that it was time for me to take time for me. My kids have both graduated HS and are in college, so it is now my time! It is great to have a network of friends to help you on this journey, whether you know them or not!
  • I had the same problem and I did not tie my shoes as tight and I have not had any further problems. If you haven't tried tying the laces looser, I would suggest this. I hope it helps!
  • Welcome to both of you!
