The calliper 7-point test is pretty good baseline. Hydrostatic is the most accurate, but it's expensive/hard to come by. BodPods are shown to be pretty inaccurate, typically showing 5-6% over. :)

Bravo you - I'm 41 and am halfway through (recovery week). No really huge changes as yet, but definitely overall a bit leaner, and certainly a whole lot fitter! I'm looking forward to the final month. Keep us posted on your progress. Best of luck!

Being discouraged is totally normal and everyone goes through it. The key is to not let it stop you. It's a huge mental switch, but one of the big triggers for being able to lose weight is actually to get yourself happy with who you are now, and focus on the weight loss as creating a leaner version of your happy self.…
