  • I'm happy to help! I think sometimes people just scan and pick out things they want to be up in arms about instead of assessing something as a whole. I felt like there were a lot of people in my boat so I wanted to stress the point!
  • Not to out myself as an idiot or anything, but after reading this I thought I'd double check the label of the Starbucks Cool Lime Refresher and found that I was not drinking what I thought I was drinking. I usually read labels (which is why I want to be able to trust them), but for some reason I stupidly believed the…
  • Your post reminded me that I found that part funny. Don't dump spray butter on CAREFULLY steamed veggies. What happens when you steam your veggies with reckless abandon? You better be careful or calories will sneak their way in? How many ways can you steam vegetables?
  • I like this.
  • I know, I'm starting to think if I got some more friends I would start being more accountable and stop blowing off tracking what I'm eating. I went on vacation and gained 4 pounds! arg
  • The problem here is that people are getting hung up on the stupid person who poured a bottle of the "spray" all over her veggies. Let's just get this out of the way and say that yes, everyone in this conversation agrees that is a very stupid thing to do. That part of the story is clouding the fact that yes, the label is…
  • I love Cherry Coke Zero, but I know when I drink more than 1 can/bottle a day I am more sluggish and just don't feel good. I was on a program last year with a trainer/nutritionist and they said since I really do love it for a treat I could have 1 a day maximum IF I also got ALL of my water and my workout in as well. If I…
  • I have felt a lot better since reaching out to you guys. While my life has gotten even more stressful the past few days, I've tried to just keep breathing and move on. My goal this week is to find ways to motivate myself. Make small fitness and nutrition goals, find some rewards for when I reach them, and maybe work on an…
  • Haha. Just putting this out there and hearing from people who give a care pretty much made me cry. Thanks you guys for caring and for reaching out. It's hard for me to talk about all that stuff so I really appreciate it. And thanks for sharing your story with me too. Everyone is going through something, it's just life.…
  • I went to 2 months of physical therapy for it and did get the shots. Not fun. I still have it but only minor and only when I'm doing a workout that centers around balancing. Keep up with the stretches, and the supportive shoes. I've also heard that walking backwards a few minutes a day is helpful because of the muscles it…
  • Haha tell me about it, we just got one in my city and I'm just dying. Why? Whyyy!!

  • You're doing great and will get the rest of the extra weight off in no time. You're story is very inspirational!
  • I'm doing it and would love to join a group. I started phase one 2 weeks ago but I totally blew it last week and feel like I should start over. I'm doing great today! How do we get a group going?
  • I'm wondering too if you should change up the workouts you are doing. Like someone else said maybe start doing some lower heart rate workouts - strength training with the cardio that Insanity or P90X adds and/or yoga. Those things build muscle while helping to lean you out. It could be too that the stress is causing you to…
  • Be careful with the extremely low carb thing for a long period of time. I've recently read a few studies that showed people who do that tend to gain the weight back more often and quicker than people who stick to a more balanced diet AND those to cut carbs too much can really mess up their metabolism. I wish I had the…
  • I won't go into it, but this really did make me laugh out loud!!
  • Yes you should start a group! Even though I'm currently following Jamie Easons LiveFit nutritional guidelines (eating often, eating mostly real instead of processed food etc) I don't consider it a diet, I consider it re-learning how to eat smart while allowing for all that other stuff in moderation. It's not a diet I'm…
  • I'm with you on this. If moderation was my strong suit I wouldn't be fat! I say yes to moderation, but it's not at all as easy as it sounds. Getting re-educated about nutrition and your own needs/habits etc is really important to the path of moderation I think.
  • You are right, we really have no clue what our bodies are going to look like. I guess I'm not looking for someone to look like, but someone who is very healthy (not just thin). Someone who promotes nutrition, working out, and a healthy outlook/attitude. Maybe that's too much to ask but it would really inspire!
  • I was so against this bread..until I tried it lol. I love bread, even whole wheat, but my husband wanted to try Ezekial 4:9 when we started eating clean and I didn't try the whole first loaf, just reading everything in it and it's story I was like, no way is this edible. Then this next loaf I finally tried a slice.…
  • I'm in the same boat. I knew eating out wasn't healthy, but I was not prepared for some of the numbers I've seen. You'll always find me researching before I go out and then either splitting the meal with someone or taking half home for leftovers. Though I only get to left overs about half the time!
  • I really do believe that moderation/portion control vs diet is the way to go...however, when you are like me and have struggled with weight your whole life partly because emotions trigger eating, moderation can be hard. If you have a lot to loose and bad habits, moderation can be harder than you might think. I'm currently…
  • It's hard for me to keep the same eating pattern on the days I don't workout. Like I'll skip my second small meal/snack. It's not that I'm full, it's just when I don't workout it's not really top of mind for some reason. Do you ever have issues sticking to the eating plan?
  • I do for sure. How bad do jumping jacks suck!!!!
  • Holy crap I just saw your pictures and you are doing amazing! I have a lot more to lose than you but seeing your results so far is so motivating - I'm committed. Keep it up!
  • This is my first day on that program! I've done various elements of the program but never at the same time so I'm excited to see how the combination goes. I'm following the nutrition to the letter but only loosely following the workout plan since I do a group 3 times a week - but I will apply the same principals: all…
