You can do it! I don't have that many kids (just the one). But have a lot of stressful thing going on. It's by no means easy but it can be done. I started a little over a year ago and am almost at my goal weight. (about 50lb down). Don't get discouraged when everything doesn't go perfect. As long as you're in a deficit you…

I do weight daily most of the time. I ended up thinking I was stuck because I kept gaining and losing the same amount. A closer look (or I should say wider look) however showed that in general my weight was still dropping. It's ok to weigh daily, just look back a month or two and see your progress to stay motivated.

It's been eaten. Log it and move on. Holding on to the negative feeling would only set me up to eat even worse the rest of the day (or even week). Don't regret what you can't change, just do better next time.

There may be something to it, or not. I don't know you so can't tell. I know I have certain days where I'm more likely to give you an earful than others. Those days, I'm not necessarily wrong (I generally don't go off without a reason), but likely I could have handled thing better while still being true to my feelings. As…

I only read the first page or so, but your husband sounds a lot like mine. He has a host of medical problems (including diabetes) I won't go into all of that, but he thinks if his numbers are coming down (they are no where near good) and he's making a few healthy choices. He's doing AWESOME. (Read heavy sarcasm) I can't…

Definitely talk to a doctor or physiotherapist as already suggested. You may want to ask them about water exercises.
-
Probably about a month or so for me, but not at the beginning. Give it another week. Let your body catch up with the water weight. If that doesn't work, reevaluate your intake (unless it's already really low). I personally have a hard time losing when I don't regularly exercise.

My weight does some interesting acrobatics around that time. First it will drop (yes DROP) about 1.5 to 2 lb. Then it will go up about 5lb from there. So technically a 3 or so pound gain. Then it will slowly go back down over the next week to starting weight or just below if I actually lost some during that time.
-
The first 20lb took about 3 months.. and the next 20 about 6 months... then I had a setback and have only lost about 5lb after that. Depends on how much you weigh to start with. I went roughly from 187-167 (3 months) 167-147 (6 months) I'm circling 140 at the moment. At 5-6 I'm close to my ideal weight,..so It's pretty…

I may give it another go in the future. I didn't give it much of a go to begin with. Glad it works for you!

I doubt they will all of a sudden shrink drastically. Maybe a little as you get a lower body fat %. When I was around this size before I gained I was a solid B cup. Now I'm having trouble finding a good bra,.. 36C works for the cup but the band is to large,.. 34C works for the band but the cup is to small .. 34D is missing…

I tried the every other day thing. Where you eat 500-600 every other day and eat a normal diet (maintenance calories) on the other days. For me it failed, I learned I don't have the discipline to put down that fork yet. For some reason I can stick to the low part but totally mess up on the high days...Plus I was eating to…

That's a great steady loss for your first month. You should start seeing some changes. Take some measurements. It will give you a better visual than the mirror.
-
It can vary a lot from person to person. Is the scale showing any change? If you are going only on looks, you see yourself everyday and gradual changes are going to be hard to spot at first. The rate also depends a lot on your deficit and how accurate your logging is.

For the first time in a while I was able to have some pizza and not end up eating all the carbs in the house. Usually I fit the pizza in my calories,..but then end up eating a bunch of other stuff because carbs make me hungry.
-
Mine seems to be pretty well distributed except that I have hardly any on my hands and feet. Even when I was bigger I didn't have much there. My ring is only slightly looser after losing 40+ pounds.
-
Not in maintenance yet. I'm 5'-6" (just a tad taller but not making the 5'-7") currently 143lb. Ultimate goal is about 135lb but I've revised my goal to drop to about 125-130 and then gain back to 135 while strength training. Ones I get to the 135 on the way down, I may revise this strategy and do small bulk and cuts…

Your numbers don't sound that low (to me). I imagine there are plenty of women who routinely eat less than that during pregnancy and have perfectly healthy children. Just to be sure, you can run them by your doctor and monitor your loss closely so you know you're not dropping weight to fast.
-
What ever you can stick with. The main thing is that you are in a calorie deficit. As long as you make sure of that, everything else should be things you can stick with. Don't design a program that works for everyone else if you have to torture yourself to stick to it. Sure there are things that are healthier,... faster,…

O wow, what a response you are getting here. Log like you want, as long as you're making progress who cares..and who should care other than you anyway. It's not like you are posting... I didn't log my food correctly and now I'm not losing and I don't know why.... You know what you did. You're owning it... so what if the…

Sometime last year,.. not current at all. I've been meaning to update.

For your height, you weight is just about perfect looking at statistics. I don't know why anyone would tell you you're fat, because that can't be true with your stats. Anyone saying that is probably not happy with them selves for some reason and they make you feel bad so they are not the only ones who are not happy. I know…

I used to think I didn't eat that much..but I kept gaining... Looking back, sure I would have days where I only ate 800 to 1000 calories..but I would also have days where I would put away 4000 or so in baked goods. Not saying that's what's going on with you, but a couple of bad days in a week can cancel out a deficit in a…

I feel it's largely because of the way everything here (USA) is set up. Unless you are lucky and live in a place that promotes physical activity you have an uphill battle. I would love to walk or ride my bicycle to work but that's just not an option (safety is the #1 problem). Sidewalks don't go anywhere (if you can find…

I've been going up and down lately so not sure what my actual starting weight is. (with a downward trend all together) I'm going to say 145lb today 4/08/2015: 144.2lb

It's open right now, but I'm a very inconsistent logger. So sometimes I close it because I feel self conscious about my bad habits and bad tracking.

Would like to join. CW:145 lb GW:135 lb

Set at 1300 but right now I'm all over the place. I was trying an every other day diet for the last month or so but I don't think that was working. (to much binging on my high days). Will be going back to the 1300 every day for this month.

Hi, I'm Lieke. I'm 32. Married with one awesome daughter. I started gaining weight after I got married and with the exception of some periods of dieting, I've steadily gained weight over the last 11 years going from 135lb to 187lb. I've already lost the bulk of it last year and am looking at the last 10lb. Needing some…
