I've found some really nice stuff at Walmart lately. The compression shorts/tanks are very similar to more expensive brands. Shorts are $10, tanks $5. I have a pair of adidas shorts and can hardly tell a difference.

I eat between 40-90 grams a day as a vegetarian. I just listen to my body and eat more protein on extra hungry days. I doubt if you need as much protein as you think you do unless you are a bodybuilder or something.

I weigh myself daily. I usually have my lowest weight on Sundays, then I can go up 1-2 pounds during the week. Then all of a sudden I usually drop again but I know what to expect so I try not to worry about it. As long as my highest weight of the week is lower than last week's highest I know it's working.

You are not alone!

I'm within 8 pounds of your size. I finally started using MFP correctly and eating at least what it recommends for .5 pound a week loss and I have been losing slowing while eating at least 1600 a day while exercising. I will have a couple days a week that's a little less calories than that and a few hundred extra on…

Would nuts be an option for you? It would be a very small amount but I consider them filling.

Vegetarian for 9 years here. I tried to be vegan for about a year, I found it to not be the best for my body. I think any little bit people can do is better than nothing.

I don't know how serious this is affecting your marriage. But your husband just sounds insecure and maybe jealous of all the time you are focusing on your new healthy lifestyle and maybe your trainer too. I would just try to put yourself in his shoes and give him some reassurance and treat him how you would want to be…

Sure, as long as you count the calories.

I've been compiling my running playlist for years. Here is what I can think of right now, I just need a good beat to step to (probably goes back to running in a group in the military lol). Eminem-lose yourself The Bangles-in your room Grateful Dead-touch of grey The Refreshments-banditos Beastie Boys-so what'cha want Def…

Give it time. I'm right about your height/weight but older. I put in my info to MFP and chose .5 lb a week loss. I'm eating more than it says with exercise (eating most calories back) and losing slowly. I'm eating 1600-1800 calories a day while exercising and losing. It's so much easier to stick to when you aren't hungry…

I tried the minimum (1200 calories) before, never lasted more than a few days before I was too hungry and ate everything! Learn from my mistakes and put in a less aggressive weight loss goal into MFP and eat more. I'm eating at least 1600 calories a day while exercising about 40 minutes a day with a desk job and I'm…

I make a smoothie out of fruit and yogurt. I eat my veggies, but you could probably add some without changing the taste too much. I always make the same smoothie. Frozen strawberries, cherries, blueberries and pineapple. 1 serving of chobani plain greek yogurt. It is really good, satisfies my sweet tooth and has a lot of…

First of all, good on your doctor for suggesting a dietary change before throwing drugs at you. I quit eating meat 9 years ago mainly for ethical reasons. But soon learned that all the stomach issues I used to have weren't normal. I feel so much better, no more issues. I still eat dairy and eggs. Since you are new to not…

Fruit, vegetables, beans, grains.

I'm very picky about my coffee. I only like the one I like, I've tried them all. I just allow myself 105 calories each morning to have my 2 cups of coffee with my french vanilla international delight lol.

I always have my fitbit on and love doing challenges for motivation! [edited by MFP mods]

Vegetarian for 9 years here. My latest discoveries to up my protein to fuel my workouts are: greek yogurt cup in my fruit smoothie adds 15 grams right there. Beyond meat frozen crumbles are so good, they are made from pea protein (no soy) and a half cup is 13 grams of protein. I eat that a couple times a week in tacos or…

We are having pizza for dinner. Papa Murphy's, thin crust, veggies, light cheese. About 350 calories for 2 slices. Plan ahead and eat what you like I say.

Yes, right now I'm trying to lose a few pounds so I've just been walking for cardio. If i run I feel like I'm starving and end up eating all the calories I burn while running. I don't feel so ravenous while walking so I'm able to keep my calories down.

I like ranch too so I mix in some hot sauce. It makes it go farther and is tasty especially in taco salads.

Squats, lunges, planks, push ups, tricep dips on a chair or stairs.

Everyone is different. I really don't think there is a set amount of each nutrient that everyone needs every day. I'm a vegetarian and I am lucky if I eat 40-50 grams a day and I feel fine and have plenty of energy to run and do whatever else I want. Some days you'll eat more, some less. As long as you are meeting your…

I like fitbit challenges!

I get that message everyday. I usually eat 1600-1700 calories and run for 30 minutes or so and it tells me I'm not eating enough once it subtracts the exercise calories from my fitbit. I eat back most of my exercise calories or else I feel like I'm starving all day and that's what works for me.

Vegetarian for over 8 years now. Lacto/Ovo, just no meat! lol

I have a fitbit! I've been running 4-5 days a week (the only way I have ever been able to lose weight) which also allows me to eat a little more which is nice and necessary because it makes me ravenous. I have been working exclusively from home for the past year which has definitely contributed to me gaining about 10…

I'm 5'6" and 145. 20 pounds would be awesome, I'll be happy to lose 10!
