As far as the goal being going to the gym 5 times by the end of the July........THAT IS GREAT!!!!!!!!! I too hate going to the gym, but sometimes it is a neccessary evil for…
  • Sue, you mentioned yesterday in the June post I must be taller. I am 5'3" on a really really good day, 269 pounds. Monday was just a walk for 5 miles...today I ran/walked for 30 minutes. I honestly don't know what the distance was...I would assume around 2 miles. I walked a block and ran a block. My running is a slow jog,…
  • I kind of had a calorie accident this weekend, but today is a day one of a new week and I am starting anew. . . Again . . . thank goodness weeks are not like some things in life and that every Monday we get a "do over". How sweet is that. God is very forgiving that way for sure. A friend stopped by this morning and knocked…
  • http://breakingmuscle.com/nutrition/leptin-the-secret-key-to-getting-shredded Sue, about half way down the page is a spot about cheat days or refeed days!!! I have been reading out of this website all day and just foudn this. This may be good for all of us to read. LOL
  • Sue perhaps it is time for a load day. I do not totally believe in them, but when I have done them on accident in the passed, things seemed to go down when I thought for sure they would go up. I read some where that it is good to add that confusion to your body once in a while, to up the calories ALOT for one day and then…
  • How did I get in to karate? I have a friend...who I believe saved my life. I called her one day, in tears and begging her to just take a walk with me. I needed to start moving and get my rear doing something. From that day on, she has been my biggest cheerleader. Anyway, she goes to karate and said I should come and…
  • yum...I will try the olive oil and season method. This time it was just a Green Giant out of the freezer thing. It was quick and a better option than some of the stuff I was looking at. LOL Thanks Steph
  • Steph....I have a lot of stress in my life (thank goodness not so much at work) and I love my punching bag and karate for it. Oh my gosh it does wonders for me!!!! I am not sure what I would do with out those two things actually. The punching bag is just great, you are getting to strike something, great upper body work out…
  • Okay, so this is a least favorite. I have been seeing other people post about brussel sprouts, so I bought some green giant brussel spouts, and while I ate them..... I did not like them. I ate them for dinner last night and lunch today (hate to waste money) I really though I used to like them, perhaps I need a new…
  • Okay, not to be an idiot...but where are you getting your calorie burns from? Are you taking them off of the diary page or the actual excercise page? Maybe I want to start playing this game? LOL (Not that it's a game, don't get your undies in a was) Actually, ya know, weight loss, logging food in and calories out....it is…
  • I have been setting weekly goals instead of a monthly goal and last week I did pretty gosh darn good. My goal this week is to average 8,000 a day. (my brother is going to be here for few days from Texas and I am sure we will sit and visit alot) and to weight lift Monday through Friday. I would also like to log at MFP's…
  • so here's a problem. I have eaten 1500+ calories today and MFP tells me to eat another 1500 because of exercise. My normal daily goal is 1800+ calories. I just can't eat another thing. So...what do you do in this situation?
  • Sue, I take a really awesome karate class and it helps to relieve pent up anger. LOL As a matter of fact, I go tomorrow and have been practicing my forms religiously, I have to learn two more before I get my yellow belt and I most definitely "prize" driven. LOL Day 4 of getting my 10,000 + in and I also burned 1000 at the…
  • I feel like a rebel....I found a back door in to the MFP website...whew. I thought I would go through withdrawls if I could not read up on stuff on MFP. I love going on to message boards and gleaning info...even though a lot of it is stupid nit picky arguing, you can find little gems of info that help. Have a great day…
  • Congrats on the loss....Thank you for the giggle....and I hope I too can lose one of those someday!!! Right now I am probably just at a .... forget it...not even going there. :blushing:
  • Nailed my goal again Thursday....11,000 steps (goal is 10,000 but would have been happy with 7,000) another 30 minutes of weight training and 20 logged flights of steps according to fitbit. • Helllloooooooooooooooo Warrior Sisters!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I NAILED it yesterday with excercise and steps. I got in 11,000 and 30+ minutes of strength training. I so rocked it. Food was not so good, but it I was thrilled at the day over all. Not doing as good today, let's see how this pans out. LOL Sue, good luck with menopause.…
  • I am at 7,000 steps for today...whoot whoot. Perhaps today will be the day that I hit 10,000 for the week...then I can go and nosh on junk food as a reward. Joking!!!!!! Kind of....lol. I went for a 25 minute walk this AM and then a 20 minute walk on my lunch today...seeing that number hit 7,000 before 2pm is just so…
  • """Jodi, now that you're logging regularly, staying close to your calorie goal will follow. Have you thought about sharing your diary with your friends? And as far as goals....my goal was to track and to try to stay with in my calorie goal. Not being very successful. I am tracking…
  • Don't forget though, fitbit is taking into account your calories that you burn just living and breathing. Fitbit syncs with MFP and will adjust accordingly. That is one of the reasons why I love the fitbit. LOL
  • I think the reason they are giving me so many calories perhaps is because I am 270? I am just a little short round thing right now. LOL HOWEVER...I am going to kick butt today. Going on my first trail bike ride of the year...if the weather holds and I am pretty excited!!! That should burn some calories. I will check that…
  • So if MFP is allowing me 1820 calories of eating a day...they are saying that on average I burn 2320? Is that what I am understanding you to say? With out doing any excercise?
  • Wednesday and Friday the evils that work upstairs brought in pizza and Chinese and I stuck to my bagged lunches....and then yesterday...which was NOT a good food day in anyway shape or form.... I worked out last night which I had not done all week. It felt awesome and I am hoping it is renewed injection of work out "wants".
  • I agree....I am FAR from that weight loss goal, however, serveral of my friends have lost a lot of weight and they have that apron.
