CW: 201 (Pre-Op) GW: LOWER Biggest 'Goal' is SURGERY in June! Since I am hoping and planning for my surgery between now and the end of this challenge on July 4th (I hope to have a DATE very soon!) A realistic weight loss goal is kind of hard to gauge, so I will commit to the challenge of getting that scale moving downward…

I would say just make an appointment with your GP and see from there if they have a WLS program in place or if you can get a referal to their dietician or metabolic team. Calling may get you very vague answers where as the doctor may agree to move you forward. Good Luck!

That's great and hopefully a motivator for you!

I agree 100% we all made the decision and found or are finding our path to get to the end. I have seen GREAT results from all options. You are ALL amazing! :flowerforyou:

Another way to "use" this group is just this, talking it out; typing it out letting others know how your feeling sometimes just reaching out for support will get you through challenging days, even minutes! I work in a college admissions office so as I tell our stressed out students, "You've Got This Breathe Deeply and…

have been on MFP for years I think since 2010 ?? Something like that anyway, late last year after I came to the decision to have WLS I created a new account and have ONLY added WLS friends pre & post op. After being on this site for so long I already knew how most people on this site feel(and are not afraid to say it)…

From what I have read and understood through my own classes this is true, my healthcare provider (Kaiser/Calif.)is no longer doing lap band at all. Sleeve is becoming increasingly popular and with dedication you will lose the weight. Do the research I hope you're offered education classes about WLS to make an informed…

What a great idea!! I could have bought one of those on clearance a couple weeks ago but passed it up because I have to give up coffee anyway! lol Does it really work to keep your food warm, this is something I hadn't thought of but I can see how your food would get cold taking 30 mins or more to eat. Very Clever!

I pulled this reply from another thread about people and their negative opinions about WLS maybe this could help you in not only defending your decision to others but feeling maybe like you need to hide the fact your taking the steps you feel necessary to be healthy. This is from another member of our group DJRonnieLINY: "…
