Yep, for this week. I would like to get 2-4 more lbs off this week. And then I'll bring up the calories next week. I'm NOT going to go out and have a pie to celebrate. I'd rather whack off a couple more pounds this week and re-set the calories next week.

2 hersey bars = 420 calories 16 small slices of american cheese= 1600 calories Thats 2000 eating nothing else. Still think you can't hit 2000??? As for your thyroid, that effects your metabolism. I would have your RMR test done to get some real answers.

In your case it is not necessary. Abs are built in the kitchen, not on the treadmill. Weight training and diet will take care of your LBM. And you will have more time and energy for your workouts.

You are 5'7" 205 pounds and you think you are eating too much??? You have to be kidding. You dont gain weight from "eating too little". I dont do the Atkins plan. I do IF with low cal/carb high cal/carb cycling, HIT weight training, and moderate cardio. But I do use low cal/carb ingredients such a coconut oil, almond flour and unsweetened almond milk. BTW the Atkins phase where you drop to under 25g of carbs is the Induction Phase that only lasts 2 weeks.…

Have your metabolism checked. Get a rmr test and a vo2 max test. With your medical history I would assume they would be covered by insurance. With that data you can structure a good diet and exercise program.

What type of drinks??? Unless they are no cal, you should be logging them too. Don't eat back calories initially. Far from drowning. And I would assert that the body of scientific evidence is showing that the genetic component may be stronger than the psycological and environmental issues for many people. Not all. But Some people are helpless in controling their weight.

That is a really sound diet program you have there. When is the book coming out? "How to Lose Weight When I Take Away All your Food" by Mr Knight. Its not a realistic strategy for the millions of people who suffer from obesity and may have a genetic defect/issue.
