Had the VSG + SADI (SIPS) on 6/6/17 - anyone can feel free to add me. :) I keep an open diary, and try to comment/share as much as possible.

http://www.laparoscopicconsultant.co.uk/blog/?p=39 It's basically a revised version of the duodenal switch. Malabsorptive components

I had the VSG (and SADI as a one step) and will likely follow a modified ketogenic diet once I'm on full foods. I'm only 8 days out right now.
-
I stand corrected. Thanks for letting me know.

Feel free to add me to support each other. :) I just had the VSG + SADI (SIPS) on 6/6/17 - I'm an operations manager for a busy customer care center, and mom to a busier 4 year old

I'm grateful I'm in Canada too - where my taxes allow the government to offer to all. I wish Ontario would join other provinces and look at more than the panni for skin removal post-surgery (which is one thing I like about the US - insurance approval for the surgery usually means approval for the skin removal after)

I loved it when I was on it but never got above the 1.8 dose. I went off it and gained 25 lbs in 2 weeks. It does what it should do when you're on it.

I'm going to send a FR as well... I'm about to have my sleeve + SADI on Tuesday :) Keep up the good work.
-
I'm going to be having a VSG+SADI on Tuesday - are you post-op at this point? How are you doing?

Hi there! I have lost 102 lbs on my own from my highest weight (about 1.25 years ago), and am having WLS on 6/6/17. (VSG + SADI or DS). I'm interested in adding a support group on MFP to share loss success and meals. Support is key in our journey. I still have over 100 to lose, but I'll do it!

I find it impacts my stool. Loose, watery, and diarrhea almost all the time. Sulphuric burps occasionally too. I've had to pause at 2.4 to allow my body to get used to it before I go to 3.0
-
I found that at 1.2 for the first 2 weeks it made me nauseous. I had to stay at 1.8 for a few weeks because it gave me sulphuric burps and diarrhea... but I've been at 2.4 for 2 weeks now. I take it at 5am when I get up and think it works well.

I've been to Hamilton though I usually go to st Catharines. How are you liking it so far?
-
I just bumped to 1.8 and have spent 2 nights with horrific sulfur burps and diaherrea. The first night I got got chills and vomited a ton as well. I talk to the doctor today. I may do another week of 1.2

I'm from Ontario and still have 55 lbs to my first 100 (and then likely another 60-80 to go). Feel free to add me. I'd love to support each other!
-
Good luck! You can do this! I am down 45 lbs on my first goal of 100 (after 2.5 months). Feel free to add me as I love to support and be supported.

I go to the Wharton clinic. They asked about mess but I don't take them and they did a bunch of tests including a calorimeter test to determine what my calorie goal should be. (2000 a day, I'm fat and my body burns 2553 at rest) I didn't get the low calorie that the previous poster mentioned. They've had me see a…

I'm currently down 30 on my goal of my first hundred lbs. (Actually 48, but I had lost 18 before joining mfp so I'm only counting mfp towards my 100 lb march) I like. I comment. I post diary entries too. Feel free to add if you want support and motivation

Gl!

Feel free to add me... I'm only 25% of the way to my first 100 lbs (total goal is 165) but I'd be happy to support and be supported :)

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Feel free to add me. I have more than 75 to lose (I'm at 24.1 on my first 100 lb goal) and love to congratulate and motivate my friends. :)

I just found this thread. Hi! I'm am going to lose 160+ lbs. My first goal is 100, and I'm down 19 towards that. My life got crazy sedentary for awhile... just trying to get back to 10K+ steps a day and add more active minutes... all while logging my fuel each day. I'm looking forward to reading more as days pass :)
-
Feel free to add. My first goal is 100 lbs (I'm at 19 down on that goal) and then I have a 2nd goal for my end game. I'd love to give and receive motivation. Feel free to add!

You can add strength training. Get some resistance bands if nothing else... then your muscles will work for you. Sometimes adding strength training kick starts loss plateaus.
