  • You have to find what works for YOU! I eat low carb because I lose weight easier and it helps with my cravings. It's not for everyone though; if straight calorie counting worked for you in the past, why don't you just do that?
  • Thanks everyone! Don't worry, I am definitely NOT returning to my old carb filled lifestyle. The past couple of weeks are definitely not my new norm. It sucked eating 1,000 calories of macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, and creamed corn, and then starving again 2 hours later!
  • Diet Mountain Dew! And strawberries in whipped cream or apples baked with cinnamon and a smidge of brown sugar.
  • I carb up a day a week, normally around 200-300. If I do two days, between 150-200.
  • If I "know" and regularly interact with them, I have and do, just to make sure everything is okay and see how they are doing. I have a few friends on here who I regularly communicate with. If it is more of casual friend, no.
  • Prosthetic limbs are hardly what I would call a "machine." It amazes me that people think he actually has an advantage because he has fake legs.
  • DS is 18 months now, but at 9 months, he only drank formula. I'd offer water to him, but he would just get mad that it wasn't formula and throw it at me.
  • You have to figure out what works for YOU! For me, it is lower carb eating, a splurge day, and eating around my BMR or very slightly above. I am losing between 1-1.5 pounds a week, so I am happy.
  • Personally, I find that I lose weight easier by exercising some of the calories off versus just calorie restriction. I think it is better for my metabolism to eat 1700 calories and burn 350 calories rather than just eat 1350 calories. Also, resistance training and weight lifting have helped firm my body up. Calorie…
  • First-Carmen (that old Christian singer) when I was 10 Last-Carolina Rebellion-a ton of bands, my faves were Godsmack, Bullet for my Valentine, Three Days Grace, and Avenged Sevenfold
  • Weight lifting makes your muscles hold onto extra water to help repair themselves.
  • A friend went through IVF, and she said she didn't have any actual weight gain, but that she had a TON of bloating/water weight from the hormones.
  • You aren't going to gain all your weight lost by eating a bowl of pasta. I have lost all my weight eating low carb and eating a bowl of pasta does not make me gain 40+ punds; I eat 5 or so days with my carbs fairly low (between 30-40 normally), then a day or so of "splurge eating". After my splurge, I am normally up 2-3…
  • What wouldn't you want to wear the clothes that fit? You already have them, so it makes no sense at all to wear your baggy ill fitting clothes when you are actually in possession of ones that will fit.
  • Where are your fruits and veggies?!?! These are wonderful low calorie snacks. Celery, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots with a little bit of ranch dip=awesome. And I'm sorry, but I do not buy into the the "it costs more to eat healthy excuse." Shop the sales, and if you have an Aldis around you, they have an awesome produce…
  • Seriously! I love their stuff. Sexy, but affordable and it lasts. I love shopping online with them because they always have such AWESOME promo codes.
  • And why on Earth would you do this? Bacon is awesome and I have lost 48 pounds consuming it 3-4 times a week.
  • Some men may be like that (just like some women are), but I am guessing the majority of men in a happy, committed relationship appreciate it and notice when their gal is trying to improve her appearance.
  • I thought September 1st was the finish line? Aren't we on week 8? And I am down 8.6 pounds :)
  • They are a CHEAP way to get 25 grams of protein in one shot for like $.50. Hardly what I would call a 'waste' of calories. Not to mention convenient when I can't cook up some protein.
  • You eat a lot of Little Caesars and their food is loaded in sodium. Lots of sodium in your diet can cause water retention, which can cause a gain on the scale.
  • This sounds horrible, but I would have cussed the little *kitten* out.
  • My DS was 10 lbs 11 oz, and he was a c-section. Put those two together, and my tummy looks very similar to that picture. I am a bit more toned, but I have the "overhang" that gal has. Once I am done having children, I do plan on getting a tummy tuck. My issue is that I have so much loose skin that you can literally pull it…
  • Not necessarily. You can use the video function to record some of the fun :p
  • Fast food for sure. I can fit the calories in, but the sodium is just insane. Most of the time the 3 days of bloating from the 3000 mg of sodium is not worth the meal. Unless it's the Olive Garden :) Or Japanese food.
  • I would definitely eat more fat if I were you. Your fat is insanely low. Fat is a part of a healthy diet, and it will help keep you full/satisfied longer. Nuts, olive oil, and cheese are a few sources. Full fat dairy products, full fat mayo and sauces, etc.
  • I am open! I do 5-6 days of 30-40 net carbs then a "bump/cheat" day where I eat higher calories and carbs.
  • You look like you are ready for a good fight with someone.
  • Don't take this the wrong, but someone who is your size probably doesn't need to eat back exercise calories. You have a good 150 pounds to lose, so lots of reserves for you body to pull from. This is completely different from the OP who is trying to lose like 15 pounds and is small already. This advice you are giving is…
  • I personally would workout at night after you have gotten to eat. I have to have food on my tummy to workout, but I know some people prefer to workout on an empty stomach. If that is your case, maybe do it in the morning and then eat before your fasting starts. Make sure you get plenty of protein.
