  • Hello! I'm joining in! I just did a couple of free months on WW and couldn't afford the fee anymore because I'm no longer working. I've used MFP before with great success (but that was almost 10 years ago!) SW: 260.2 CW: 253.8 GW1: 200 GW2: 150-160 My summer has been pretty rough, having been on sick leave and struggling…
  • I'm in the same boat! About the same amount to lose. Been on MFP off and on since 2012. In 2012 I went from 195 to 140lbs! So it's doable, and I'm ready to try again! Would love to have some accountability buddies along the way. Feel free to add if you like. Good luck!
  • I'll be your friend! I've been on and off of MFP for years... was once successful, but restarting again. I need to see some positive achievements on my newsfeed! I just turned 27 and I have about 75-80lbs to lose.
  • I'm 26 with 80-90lbs to lose
  • Nope, just referring to the fact that I've been away from MFP for some time, for the second or third time. I'm a yo-yo MFP member it seems... Hope you heal quickly! Good luck with your goals also :)
  • I am also surprised by all the changes (especially in the app). I think it is because under armour now owns MFP. Anyhoo... I was also on here back a few years ago (2011-2012) then fell off the wagon after reaching my goal... and not planning for what to do after I did. So like you, also gained back all the weight (about…
  • My biggest struggle is being ok with the fact that healthy weight loss is going to take more time than I want it to :P But trying to re-frame it as "delayed gratification" :P
  • I try my hardest to be body positive in everything I do (even if I don't feel 100% positive with my body sometimes - daily, residual struggle from a disordered eating/damaged body image past). But I'd also like body positive friends! Feel free to add :)
  • I'm definitely in a similar boat as you! I started adult swim strokes on Sunday. My goal is 3 lengths non stop :persevere: I can do 2 comfortably but that's about it. I started the class late (missed the first 2 weeks) but it seems like all of the others in the class have the same goal: endurance. I'm excited for the next…
  • I find exercise painful too (especially since I've put on weight). I used to be a runner after I lost about 50lbs, so less weight to throw on my joints... now that I'm a bit heavier, I stick to walking and swimming (less impact, less ouch). Have you considered swimming or pool walking/running? Light yoga, could help too…
  • Sorry, computer acting up and posted twice :/
  • Hey everyone! I've been on MFP before twice. The first time I was chained to my food diary and it ended up in unhealthy, restrictive, obsessive behaviors. The second time was total opposite where I barely logged on, barely logged in my diary, kind of just had a profile lingering here. I'm back at it again, but I want some…
  • Thank you both for your comments. I bailed for a couple weeks and am back here again. I've been thinking about what I had said a few weeks ago, and realized that even though counting made me lose my sanity, it also was the only way that gave me sanity with food. A contradiction I know. I will check out the links to see…
  • I'm new to this group! Hi! I did not swim today as I had what seemed to me as a mild chlorine reaction yesterday after swimming. I bought a natural vaseline-like lotion to prevent it from happening next time but forgot it at home this morning! I want to try it out tomorrow and see if it helps with preventing a future…
  • It's awesome to know that so many people swear by it! I was a former runner and started something similar but then grew to believe I had to push myself nonstop with as little walk breaks as possible. I then got the word that I had IT band syndrome... I threw myself on the bench for running after that. I started tonight at…
