My friends/coworkers are all brutally honest. I have spent many an hour lunch talking with my male coworkers about their beauty regiment, and my female coworkers and I regularly discuss the various ways to hide the things we don't like about our bodies. No one ever said "you're not fat", they'd say things like "yeah but…

You remember February only has 28 days right? It probably just won't happen in that short amount of time. Calculate your TDEE, eat at a reasonable deficit, drink lots of water, and maybe get a body wrap the day before the event I assume you have going on that you need to Slim down for to help you temporarily look a little…

I'm 5'4" and my goal is... Well I don't know, as much as I can lose? It sounds worse than it is, at 168lbs I'm pretty sure the most I could lose is 50lbs, and that would still put me in a healthy range.

This one time, it's totally fine, but you will probably find yourself hungrier than normal tomorrow. Remember that you had this extra deficit today and you can eat a bit more tomorrow.

Haha, oh my gosh I didn't even think about it!

I eat kinda whenever it tickles me. On days I work I usually eat only twice a day, breakfast and dinner with something like a coffee or a fruit juice (okay never juice almost always a coffee) for lunch. On days when I'm off or out running around having fun I usually eat more throughout the day, a sandwich here, some fruit…

I weigh myself, but I also have this skirt I bought when I first decided to lose weight. It was a size medium, that's what I still think of myself as, I grabbed it off the shelf and bought it without thinking. It was roughly three inches from being able to touch the top of the zipper to itself, I was heart broken. Now once…

A lot of these programs give you a "custom diet" that is really the same as it is for all customized with very minimal variations. I know it's easy to get discouraged when you started losing just fine but then had a stall. The real problem is that if you're paying for a service to help you lose weight like preplanned…

I would figure out how many calories all of their meals add up to, if they are below the deficit you need to lose weight don't change a thing. Drink plenty of water and understand your body is not a math problem, but a living and fluctuating organism. If your meals have too many calories in them to be a deficit at your…

^this. You don't need to cut carbs to lose weight, you only need to eat accurately at a deficit. I'm assuming this is some kind of weightloss program you signed up for which isn't customized for you at all? If so I would recommend switching programs or simply cooking your own foods and tracking calories.

I make a mushroom risotto that is around 179calories per person, which I usually pair with two cups of asparagus and a roasted boneless skin on chicken thigh.

It's very frustrating, he's gained nearly 100lbs in the last five years. A always talks about wanting to lose weight and join a gym, but he won't just monitor what he eats. I love him, but he's developed high blood pressure at 23. Both my mother, and my mother in law were/are heavy. My mother less so because she was…

My son, and my mom. All my life no matter what amazing thing my mother had done or made she never felt good enough because she wasn't the right size. I don't want my son to have memories like that of me. My mom did so many wonderful things to give my sister and I magical childhoods, but she was always ashamed of her waist.…

I did something similar last night. Hubby and I managed to get an over night babysitter and went out for drinks and dumplings with friends. I had six small delicious handcrafted Chinese dumplings, that I had budgeted into my calories for the day, a few drinks, and a good time, until around ten when someone suggest we go to…

It's perfectly normal to feel this way in the wake of such terrible news, you feel like you're letting yourself down, when you've just been let down by the universe. It sucks. I'm very sorry for you, but don't let it drag you down, and don't feel guilty over goldfish crackers. If they're good enough for your growing…

I'm getting my first new tattoo in two years next week, on my shoulder. Once I reach my goal I'm going to get a rib piece done, if my stomach looks presentable (which is questionable, let's be fair). I would talk to your tattoo artist about it, they've seen enough skin to have a good idea of how to approach things like…

Well I heartily encourage her to not ever eat a Cadbury egg where I can see or smell it because it will not be fun cleaning my barf out of her hair. I buy the creme eggs for my husband once a year, and he has two hours home alone to eat them and brush his teeth to avoid my violent involuntary reaction to that gritty smelly…

Okay Cadbury eggs are so gross, like just thinking about eating one has made me queasy, but I have been craving this one dumpling place for a month, delicious savory dumplings. Today is basically a "jog your butt off to be able to go get dumplings and drinks because you need time with adults" day for me, if I trusted my…

I've eaten over a pound of it in a day without a pee issue, in fact I didn't know that was a thing until I was 15. My mom used to joke that I love it so much because the town I was born in, in Germany had an annual asparagus festival, I think it's just because who in their right mind doesn't like it.

I love my flex, my only complaint is that I have TINY wrists and even using the smaller band it sits a little funny. However the super vain side of me loves that it matches my iPhone (they're both line, it's dumb, i know.) I never go anywhere without my phone, so the fact that it's just flashing lights isn't a problem for…

I hate breakfast, I just... I just hate breakfast. Most days I have some manner of toast with either Nutella (if I'm just having toast) or avocado (if I am making eggs for my little guy that I will share) Special days I make pancakes, but I have yet to make a satisfying amount of them for less than 400 calories.

I'm still fighting with the 20 pounds of baby weight everyone said would vanish magically if I breastfed, my little one just turned two. If you're that concerned talk to your OB, (not your GP, they aren't as well versed in postpartum weightloss and dietary needs of breadtfeeding moms) about a diet plan that would help you…

Does he want to stay "fat"? Because if not then you'll just have to accept that he has te right to do whatever he chooses with his body. If he doesn't want to lose weight there are plenty of protien shakes and similar things you can add to his diet to increase his calorie intake without affecting yours.

Am I the only person who can eat asparagus without it affecting their pee? I have literally never had this problem, and I eat asparagus 2-4 times a week. I steam it and serve it with roast chicken, or I top mushroom risotto with it, or just eat it with my fingers off on my son's plate of chicken nuggets (he's two and loves…

You should be very proud of yourself. Congratulations. Don't worry about the occasional indulgence, maybe stop thinking about eating extra as a binge because you have a negative association with that word, think of it as 500calories of wiggle room when you need it. Make eating a little extra every once in a while a…

Thanks, I already wear my flex on my non dominant hand so I don't know if that would work still? I didn't notice it missing steps when I walk/jog to the store from my apartment but it must help that the sidewalks in my neck of the woods could use some leveling.
-
Obviously not, but walking is walking, no need to be a ****.

Juice fasting. Although I did finally find a brand of orange juice I like, and some pretty delicious ready to go juices available where I work.

Thanks everyone, yesterday was my first day off with the the Fitbit which meant less walking than normal (pretty walking heavy job) but that seemed really low to me. Normally when I push the stroller I do it one handed but the mall was too crowded to allow for any drifting (it's one of those three wheeled jogging strollers…
