  • oOoh Bump!
  • I started a kickboxing class last week. I was one of the biggest girls in the class, but athletically speaking, I am in the top 50%. Now, for a girl who has been overweight since puberty, being more physically capable then HALF THE CLASS, most of whom are skinnier then I, this is by far one of my favorite moments! And…
  • My SO met and fell in love with me when I was bigger. It was never an issue for us. He fully supports the changes I'm undergoing, and I'm sure he's very excited for me to be thinner, and we both agree wholeheartedly it's much more important to be healthy.
  • Very true, ha ha ha! If nobody recognizes the product...maybe it's not as popular as it's marketers would have us believe!
  • BUMP for attention!!
  • I have nothing to contribute, but I'm bumping because I am also looking for real reviews on the product. I have a fitness class teacher who is pushing the product and before I buy into any hype I want to hear what real people have to say.
  • I just looked at your pictures. You are NOT FAT! Sounds like he wants one of those super skinny model types. Personally, I would dump him. I am engaged to someone I have been with for 5 years. I love him SO MUCH, but I can say with 100% conviction that if he ever said that to me I would dump him. People like that will…
  • In my experience, motivation and goal setting is directly linked. To keep the "I'm so excited about this" motivation up and running on a daily basis, I find that if I make sure I always have short term goals that I am excited about, I stay motivated. If I get bored of the goals, I find another one that excites me. I've…
  • I'm 5' 7", and I started off with a goal weight of 140. But as I learn more about fat loss, I've kinda changed my goals. I have MFP set to 140 as goal weight, but I'm going to get myself into the Healthy BMI range then trade dropping the number on the scale for dropping BF%. I'm doing that because I know I won't be…
  • If you're being told that you are not as attractive because of your height, then you are looking for the wrong type of girl! Not all of us are that shallow!
  • 1. Pay off Student Loans for myself and fiancee. 2. Set younger kids in our families up with nice scholarships so they aren't left borrowing for college. 3. Pay of my parents and fiances parents mortgages 4. Save!!! 5. Buy an appartment in NYC so we don't have to drudge back/forth to work 6. Hire a personal trainer 7. Quit…
  • OK so I have been experiencing this exact same phenomenon. The mirror makes me happy, my photos make me happy, but a photo taken with less "bias"...makes me feel like I've done NOTHING of worth and that I have sooo far to go! I've been dealing with this for a couple months now! What I have come to realize is that I am my…
  • First of all, congrats to you on beginning to eat at your TDEE! I've lost 46 pounds and counting eating my TDEE for a person of my goal weight. Eating your TDEE has so many long term benefits! Second of all, if you gain that much weight that fast, it is most definitely water weight. To gain a pound of true fat, you have to…
  • I thought about gastric bypass/lap band while I was still in my "there's gotta be an easier way out" phase. But I have found that doing this on my own is so rewarding, because every pound I lose I can contribute 100% to my very own efforts. Once I got on a roll, it got a lot easier. I would never (repeat NEVER) get this…
  • I gave up fast food of all kinds, and cut back on processed food and try to eat clean whenever possible. But for the most part, with the exception of fast food, if I want it, I eat it. I just eat less of it! Working so far! :OD
  • I could eat eggs for breakfast every day and never get tired of them. Oh wait, I do!! I'm glad you posted this! I decided to stop removing the yolks from my eggs anymore after reading about what nutrients are in the yolk vs what nutrients are in the whites. And this reinforces my decision! Thank you!
  • Chocolate Covered Banana's are one of my all-time favorite snack foods! I never thought to add peanut butter! Brilliant!!
  • Somebody said this quote in another forum post today, and it really resonates with what you're saying. He was responding to a person who was concerned they were losing weight too fast. He said: "I know what's fast on the front end comes back with a little something extra on the tail end." It may be frustrating to see…
  • Roller Skating IS a good workout!! Great for the legs! Thats why I think you should buy them NOW! Learn to skate, and get fit while looking hot in your new awesome roller skates!!
  • I second this. I've lost 45 pounds this year alone eating a MINIMUM of 1700 calories a day, with only a few days here or there where I ate less. I averate between 1700-2000 each day. Find out your TDEE, add in your estimated exercise calories burned and subtract the number of calories per week from that number to get your…
  • I've had luck with 30 DS 4 days a week with cardio 3-4 days a week.
  • If you have iTunes, check out the podcast, "Fat 2 Fit Radio." They're all free to download from season 2 on. This podcast revolutionized how I think about diet, lifestyle and exercise. I follow their philosophy and, almost 7 months in I cannot see myself ever not living the rest of my life this way. I have all the…
  • Music is loud, bunnies are hopping around, and I'm usually dancing around like an idiot. Of course, I sometimes also do that when I'm home with the SO too. *shrugs*
  • I started off more 'apple', and find that 45 pounds down I've turned into a pear. Recently I've been feeling a bit down about that because of the disproportional look I have, but seeing the afters in these photos makes it seem not so bad at all! The pears who have posted after shots have GREAT curves!! That is most…
  • My fiancee and I are in on this together, so I have plenty of support in that department! Our close friends and immediate family do know. But I've discovered that talking about your food and exercise choices, while interesting to me and SO, are not a hot topic amongst most of my friends or family. So, I only talk about it…
  • Bump! Taking a kickboxing class in a few weeks and want to get a jump start on core strength so I'm not so behind when I start! :OD
  • BUMP because I have a recipe at home to share when I get off of work!
  • 100 times ^THIS And the same goes for females. You do the inviting, you do the paying. Plan within your means. DTMFA.
  • I track everything that I eat. I transfer my calorie intake over to the BodyMedia Fit website to calculate my true caloric deficit, so if my calorie intake is inaccurate, so is the data on that website. Besides, at the end of the day, to omit something intentionally only hurts myself. I'm done playing that game!
