Getting more sleep is my mini goal. I am more successful than I thought I would be. The key, for me, is putting my phone down at bed time and leaving it alone till morning. Without my phone, I find that I get more sleep, and the sleep I'm getting is more refreshing. Consequently, when I get more sleep, I see more progress…

For people with trouble sticking with a plan, I recommend intermittent fasting. You don't have to commit to it over a long period of time. There are many sources of information on the topic. Make sure you use a source that has proven reliable. One that I like is:…

It is common to hit a wall after making progress. Just keep with it. Your body is adjusting. If you continue to see no change, you may want to try and trick your metabolism. Try to change when you do your exercise. Mix it up. If you normally do cardio before any strength training, swap, and vice versa. Also, look at the…

I almost never weigh myself. I can tell when I'm making progress by how my clothes fit or when other people can see my progress.

What they don't tell you is, some of your family members and closest friends may tell you you're too skinny. Some of them may tell you that you have lost too much weight when you still have plenty more weight to lose before you reach your goal weight. Don't let those folk discourage you. If necessary, distance yourself…

I make kale chips or I make kale/spinach/collard chips. They are healthy and very low in calories. You can Google recipes to get yourself some different ideas, using your conventional oven, air fryer, or toaster oven. I season with a dash of garlic powder and sea salt. Works as a very nice snack, any time of day. Very…

I answered this before, but now I have another one. The pants I bought in 2020 when I split my pants are now too big. I need to go clothes shopping again. :)

My jewelry fits differently, especially my rings. They used to feel too tight, so tight, that I seldom wore them. Then, I used to need a little lotion or baby oil to remove them. Now, I can remove them with little effort at all.

When I was on my way to work one morning and split my pants because they were too tight. I had to stop and buy a new pair, that wasn't in my budget at the time. I got back in the saddle after that.

Just wow. You're awesome. Congratulations on your progress!!!!!

When someone notices you're slimming down and toning up, that's the best NSV and is wonderful motivation, especially if you don't yet see it yourself.
-
oooh. You're too skinny.

Yes! I completely agree. It's okay to have those luscious foods. You just have to plan for them and work them into your eating plan. Rather than eat that whole package of Grandma Cookies, just eat a couple and save the rest for another day, and you don't need to get that Venti Caramel Latte. You can get a Short, the…

It's 793 for me. I remember getting as many as 452 then falling off the wagon and having to start over again. Bummer. I have momentum now, and hope to keep it up.

It's not my most recent but the one that gave me my first boost of motivation. There was a time when I had to bend over to see my feet. After I had been following my plan for a while, I was able to look down and see my feet without bending over. That made me feel good. I don't ever want to go back to those old times. That…

That's great. Starting is the key. I hope to see you do more in the coming year. CONGRATULATIONS

I drink plain water, 5-7 cups per day. I find that to be the key in reaching and maintaining my goals.
-
Excellent. This is the king of thing that's motivating for me and for others as well. Congratulations.
-
Great job. Congratulations on your results.

An important thing people don’t often tell you is, the steps you take to lose the weight and become fit are what you need to do to keep off the weight and remain fit. You can’t go back to our old habits or you may quickly lose all the progress you made. Once you reach your goal, don't think it's okay to go back to the…

One more thing: I notice that I am sleeping better. Last night was the first time in months I slept the whole night through without waking up once. I'm sure it's the consistent diet and workout routine to blame.

Someone gave me a really nice compliment. That's one of the best things, when other people notice.

Mine is being able to wear clothing that I couldn't wear six months ago. That's the greatest motivation.
-
The ultimate moment is when I was headed into work and I split my pants. I stopped in a store and bought a new pair. That's when I knew it was time to kick myself back into gear.

Same. Salad was a huge part of my meals growing up, for all dinners and most lunches. Occasionally, we had a kale salad as a side at breakfast. Sometimes, salad was the whole meal. No surprise to me, because it can fill you up.

I think this has been a lifesaver for me. It really does help you track and monitor whatever is important to you. For me, I want to keep track of sodium and carbs. This site helps me do that. I track my exercise too. I highly recommend it. Good luck in your journey. God speed.

I do, after I reach milestones, either after losing a certain amount of weight or after following my plan for 30 days or so. Then I reward myself.

"You're losing too much weight." How bout people mind their own business.

a sandwich is food 'sandwiched' between bread or crackers or lettuce or any other items. Yes, a hotdog is a sandwich.
