Too many comments for anyone to see this...but thank you for your story, it is inspiring to me (299.8 this morning after taking a year to get under 300 lbs) Lost and gained hundreds over the years. Well done staying on maintenance, that seems to be the hardest part for me!5

What kind of exercise do you indulge in?0

There is no reason you can't. It takes discipline and hard work. That is something we all can do.5 -
Fantastic work! Appreciate the share - I'm heading down the same path. Started at 345 - shooting for 195.1

Amazing transformation.Could you please tell me what you normally eat in a day?
Just depends. In general, I cut the following things out of my daily intake: Dairy, refined sugar, soda (I drink about one can of zevia a day), quite a bit of meat.
My wife is very healthy. We eat almost entirely organic. We are close to vegan (my wife is completely vegan). So I eat pretty well. Dairy is garbage. It destroys your system. And there are plenty of alternatives. Refined sugar is just as bad. And cancer loves it. Soda is also bad. I switched to diet for a long time, but Diet Dr. Pepper is worse for you than regular soda. So I have zevia.
It's not easy. I love junk. You just have to eat that crap in moderation.1 -
Excellent. This is the king of thing that's motivating for me and for others as well. Congratulations.0

It definitely is. Really have to treat it as a lifestyle change and not a diet. Not easy. Good luck.0 -

When I was 320 pounds, I walked and ran just a little, played basketball with my dad and lifted weights. When I had the stamina, I ran mostly. From the end of 2011 through 2015, averaged three miles a day (up to eight miles on some days).
I got EBV (mono reactivation) in 2016 and did not work out for more than a year. When I was healthy enough to work out again, I stopped running because it exhausted me. So I shifted to more weights. From 2017 to now, it's mostly weights and stairclimber, with some elliptical.0 -
Congratulations, I was the same weight as you three months ago (324.2 lb) when I started and have lost 48 lbs so far. My goal is to lose 139 lb. I am prepping for gastric sleeve surgery. I have lost over 100 lb twice before, I am 67 years old. Eventually it comes back, so I hope this works. Now I have a team of bariatric specialists to aid me; surgeon, medical doctor, nutritionist and psychologist plus my regular doctors. I am glad to see others losing large amounts of weight. Good Luck!2

I replied before but now at 7 months in im down 115 lbs. Its been a very emotional journey for me. I wish I hadn't let myself go for so long. I got 42lbs more to get to my goal weight of 225lbs. Trying to get there in 5 months. I don't ever want to go back to 382lbs.4

You are a true inspiration! In 2017 I was at 345 lbs. I lost a bit of weight over the next year and have been hovering between 320 and 315 for about a year. My last blood test came back really bad and I decided I need to once again get serious. Today I was 295.4 but 215 seems so far away. It seems impossible but after seeing your post it gives me hope. Thank you so much for sharing.2
