Thing is that was the first week and many people have large losses just because of the water weight loss. I would expect that to be the case even if it was your TOM. After the first month, the hard work begins because the water weight loss is done. You have a good start and are on the right track. Just remember that this…

7 lbs in one month is great! Congrats! Remember that weight loss is not linear. Some weeks you may lose and some weeks you may not. But that is OK as long as the trend over the longer term is downward. There are so many factors that play into why you might not have a loss this week. How much sodium did you have last week?…

All I know is that when I tried to go low carb, but even after a month when everyone said the cravings would go away, I would have hurt someone for a bag of pita chips. So I bagged that and moved to MFP and have been much happier.

My goal is around 1800 net. So if I exercise, I eat part of those calories back.

7 days is nothing. For example, last week I was up 1.4 lbs and this week I was down 2.8. As long as the longer term trend is downward, you are good.

Quesedillas! Taco seasoned shredded chicken with part skim mozz with low carb tortillas and a chipotle ranch dipping sauce.

Not sure if this is feasible financially but get easy walk harnesses for them. They are the kind where the leash hooks in the front. These have made all the difference in walking my two pullers (45+ lb Pit mix and 60+ lb Boxer/Pointer mix). https://www.edogsncats.com/images/EWHDogongrassCroppedLR.jpg

Every time I hear/read about hot yoga, I think of this http://www.craigslist.org/about/best/sea/2597736393.html Having said that, I have done it a couple of times but I don't like exercising in a room that warm. Makes me nauseous.

My overall #s 277-160=117 117/277=42.2 100*42.2=42.2% But in 2014, my goal is 21.1%, or half that amount/1 lb a week.

8 lbs is great. That is 2# a week, a healthy and sustainable weight loss. Way to go! Remember: Weight loss, like weight gain, doesn't happen overnight. I know it took me months to gain the weight I am trying to lose so I am willing to put the months of work to lose it. I have to remember that weight loss, like weight gain,…

Mine's open, though not very interesting food wise. I eat similar stuff everyday for lunch and breakfast.

I call this the appetite roller coaster. Some days I am "I want to eat everything on the planet...especially the chocolately things!!!" Other days I am "Meh, not that hungry. Give me some chicken, I guess." Mot days, I am in the middle, eating my allotment of calories and not being too hungry. I just think of it as all…

I log everything. Just like I weigh in every day. It helps me to see patterns in my eating and possible trigger points. Like when i have too much fruit, I seem to crave sugary things the next day. Or if I have too many carbs several days in a row, I want more carby type foods. It also keeps me honest since honesty…

Your food diary isn't public so it is hard to give feedback on the food part. And how are you figuring the calories burned? HRM? Machines at the gym? MFP calculations?

I wonder if you are being realistic in what your weight loss should look like. .5/lb per day is not common or from what I am reading here, sustainable. What did you put as your target weight loss per week? How did you come up with the 1200 calories per day that you are currently using for your daily allotment? Based on the…

My goal is to lose at least 50 in 2014. Feel free to add me.

I go up anywhere from 2-5 lbs but I still weigh every day. It is all part of the process of my learning how certain foods and situations impact my weight. Plus, I love to see the number go down afterwards since it usually is lower than when I started since I still work to meet my calorie and activity levels. Since I know…

Another Force user signing in. No issues so far but I wear it loose since I hate anything tight on my wrist. I do make sure to wipe the inside down with alcohol a couple times a week. I also move the "face" from the outside to the inside of my wrist a couple of times a day.

I weigh daily since I am at the beginning of my weight loss journey and I think it is important to learn how my body is reacting to all the changes as well as things like sodium, hard exercise, TOM, etc. I don't have a problem with it since I figure I didn't gain the weight in a straight line so won't lose in a straight…

Long term goal is to lose 100. 2014 goal is to lose more than 50. I want to stay reasonable so I don't get discouraged. It took me more than a year to gain all this weight so it may take longer than a year to lose it. :)

I weigh every morning as a reference check. I can't help it. But, I only log Sunday and Wednesday weights.
