Round 54 (#18) I typically don't set goals because I find myself sabotaging them. Stupid, I know, but it's true. Challenge goal:Stop binge eating my trigger foods which are too numerous to list. 9/25: 132.4, date last night. Grilled chicken, fingerling potatoes with red bell pepper and sweet onion, and wilted spinach. The…

Finally got around to using the SBMI calculator. Interesting results... Below is bullet points of results: BMI = 23 Health aspects Your weight is at the level that, in our view, should be optimal for health. By classification of the WHO, you are “normal weight". SBMI = 34/70 This assessment is based on the newly developed…

My routine to a T. Lol. Small changes can have a profound affect. My journey has been about sustainable change and enjoying my life. It's not a race because there really isn't a finish line.

I've been stuck in a rut and in need of change. This is not a good place for me because it leads to impulse shopping and/or boredom eating. I decided to redirect my energy with a positive distraction. End result, I ruthlessly purged my closets and dresser of ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that doesn't fit, flatter, or make me…

@denswrex Let me know how it turns out. I'm always interested in new recipes. :) Currently I'm enjoying the quinoa chili I made. I cook enough to have leftover for work week meals. @deepwoodslady My body is perfectly happy and healthy with 6 (summer) or 7 (winter) hours of sleep. I only sleep more if I'm ill, have a…

@denswrex try this one. It’s one of the few that don’t call for brown sugar. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/221041/wine-braised-beef-brisket/?internalSource=similar_recipe_banner&referringId=57264&referringContentType=Recipe&clickId=simslot_2

@LizzyinWA Welcome! I can relate. When I tried Keto I was constantly fighting cravings and losing each battle. Ultimately increased my body fat by several pounds before I called it quits. Whole foods and moderation is more sustainable for me.

@quiltingjaine Very true wich is why I use a dumbbell. No additional weight, just the actual dumbbell, so I get an idea how accurate the scale is. Frankly, no scale is perfect therefore I use it as a measuring tool and track the trend.

@denswrex I never feel comfortable in a bathing suit. NEVER. I do not like how my thighs jiggle, the elastic cuts into the tissue at the top of my legs, and my abdomen is full of scars from pregnancy. I haven't work a bathing suit in 20 years. Go rock that bikini!

@ssssanaaaa Definitely purchase an accurate scale. I like to read as many reviews as possible before buying. I've even brought a heavy item that I can test the accuracy with, lol. (a 20 lb dumbbell) Yes, the number on your scale may or may not be accurate, the important thing is that you are showing a downward trend which…

@tiabirdie56 I bet that would make a nice hot drink after I get off of work. When it gets cooler I crave hot milk or cocoa. I've tried subbing almond, flax, and light coconut milk; it's just not the same. Cocoa is loaded with sugar, unless I make it from scratch, but after work that isn't going to happen. Lol

@Snowflake1968 Please accept my sincerest apologies for not catching the inappropriate autocorrect of "fat loss." I was mortified when I spotted it. I'm a comfort food person. Stew, chili, lasagna, pasta, and more. I've managed to tweak recipes so the calories are a lot less per serving. I've also substituted rice/noodles,…

@denswrex Try @tiabirdie56 's parsley water for flushing out the excess water.

@cdavisdeva Woo-Hoo! Outstanding achievement! (yesterday's post) I've made plenty of meals out of binge food. Lol. @Snowflake1968 Have you discovered the roadblock to your fat loss (correction) progress? If so let us know; I'm confident we can help with some suggestions. (For those who read this before I changed the…

It's water. The body isn't able to metabolize calories into measurable fat loss or gain that quickly. Actual weight/fat loss or gain is measurable as a trend over time.

@quiltingjaine it definitely is allergies, seasonal and contact. Since menopause, I've developed allergies to most everything, cosmetics, soaps, fragrance, hair products, moisturizers, you name it. It's a never ending source of frustration. Then there's the weather... My eyes water if it's windy and/or cold. You can…

@quiltingjaine My eyes water all day every day, right more than left. The upper lid of my right eye has been chapped for months. Itches, burns, and looks like hell.
