I don't know what type of nuts you are eating but they must be deep fried. 1 oz of almonds is 170 cals. Really only half an ounce should curb your hunger for a bit. 2oz of nuts at 300 cals plus is way high in fat and really not a good option.

That is so tough. If it were no cals AND didn't raise blood sugar, then it would have to be a sweet. Golden Oreos or some chocolate candy. Depends on my mood and it's hard to think of something that I would become sick of after a few days. Double stuff golden oreos would be awesome, but then I'd wither away and die from…

Maybe your size 16's ran small or maybe you were bigger in the rear at the time. I was a size 16 when I was 200 lbs. Now at 220 I am a 18.

I do that too. It's hard having kids. I can just not buy anything sweet like that but that's not really fair to them. Why should they suffer cuz mommy can't stop at one cookie (brownie, piece of cake, handful of chips, candy, whatever). And why do i even think I am fooling myself when they say "Mommy, can we get this?" and…

Stirfry veggies, no gravy. Tiny bit of rice, no noodles, egg rolls etc. You know what to look for, just try to make the best choices you can. If you really must sample, make it a small portion. Good luck.

What works for me is meal planning. Then I log my main meals that I will eat in the day, see what I have left over, and plan snacks throughout the day accordingly. You can plan the night before or when you make a grocery list or once a month, whatever. Maybe will work for u.

I totally do not agree w/ this. Eating less of a bad food doesn't make it better. Margarine is processed chemicals. Hydrogenated oils for frying, not clean. I do not eat clean. I eat a heck of alot better than I used to and alot of my food is fresh, organic REAL food. I still use salt, but I grow my own vegetables and…

We already got the automated message that tomorrow will be a snow day (Milwaukee WI) so sombody musta been sleeping like that.

if you know the cals in something but don't want to mess with entering the name od a food, waiting for it to come up then selecting it plus the amount, you just add the cals. If I know I maybe nibbled on some candy, a cpl cheetos and a cpl pices of ham, I can add maybe 40 cals to my food log. Doesn't give fat, sugar,…

I am 3 years out and am stuck myself. I did have complications from the start however, so I didn't get nearly as close to my goals as you seem to have done. I am interested in seeing what others have to say. Personally I think my surgery was a mistake and I actually did better in my 6mo pre-surgery diet, than after so I am…

lol I have tried asking for help w/ that on this site w/ no help. It was if I said I wanted to smoke crack. I guess MFP members typically prefer the all natural approach. Personally I have used Phentermine w/ great results. From the research I have done online, most of the herbal remedies are garbage allthough green tea…

yeah, bake it, or pan fry w/ pam. No skin. They must have something decent you can eat. Oatmeal, eggs, something. Good luck and stay warm.

Try tea. A cup of earl grey with a bit of milk and some sugar free vanilla syrup is awesome. Not a ton of caffeine but enough to help a bit. Make sure you sleep enough at night (says the girl typing this at nearly 2am). It's alot easier to stay up during the day when you sleep well at night. Try to eat smaller more…

That is such a good idea! I may just have to steal your idea and use if for myself, Mwahhahhaa. j/k thanks for the tip

What he means is, over time, if you consume an extra 3500 cals above your BMR you would gain 1lb. It doesn't mean that he thinks you've consumed 4,700 cals in one day. Yes the tone is a bit snarky but all of the info is correct. A woman who does not excercise and has a desk job needs to eat a minimum of 1200 cals to avoid…

I don't think you are SOL. Perhaps in your last diet that was very lo-cal you did slow your metabolism. It will take time to repair that damage. Be proactive about it and get moving. Excercising is a great way to burn cals and boost your metabolism. Walking is good and don't forget to get some weights in there. Muscle…

That is gorgeous! Good luck on reaching your goal! You'll have to post some pics when you get it.

OMG I think that's it! I also have been doing great this month, 16 lbs gone, people at work saying "wow! I can totally see it. you look great!" How do i celebrate? by eating everything in the house and just feeling the "blah, I am done" feeling. I think you have given me my Ah-ha! moment. Thank you. You my friend are a…

Poorcopie I am so proud of you! It is a very brave thing to be honest with yourself and with you MFP friends about your binge. I have been pretty far off the wagon myself and your post has really opened my eyes. Again! I was sitting here feeling awful about the half bag of doritos I ate and the bag of skittles and how…

I can't speak for your body but it sounds pretty standard to me. Normally when you start a diet, you eat healthier foods. Healthier foods have lower sodium. Sodium causes water retention, so, less sodium = less water retention = lots of (water) lbs dropped. When the excess water is removed your weight loss should…

Hand weights or resistance bands are quiet. Won't get the blood pumping but it's something. I agree with silent step-ups on paper reems or maybe look into getting one of those little bicycle jobs that sits on the floor that you can pedal away on. If breaks are allowed, use them to walk if you can. Normally I munch my…

I briefly looked at your diary and it doesn't seem too far out. I think the 45 limit they set is pretty low to be honest. I think 60 is better. That said, a cpl thing caught my eye. Eggs. Eggs are good, whites are better. I used to do 2 eggs and veg omlet in the morning, now I switched to 1 egg, 1 egg white. Lowers protein…

Tell him that either he takes it back or it hits the trash. I can't have stuff like that in my house. It's not a lesson in willpower, it's someone trying to sabotage your success. Fight back and ditch the tin.

Sugar free flavored yogurt doesn't exist. All of those brands use a sugar substitute to get the sweet taste. Chemical sweetener is not a good thing. I am also trying to find a good yogurt blend I can live with. So far I am thinking low fat plain yogurt blended w/ a bit of banana and a strawberry maybe w/ some stevia or…

Wowser! That was a big man jumping off the screen in the before picture. Great job! You look like that guy's son now. Awesome progress!

Plz see a doctor ASAP. A super tampon in 15 min is crazy blood loss. A coworker of mine had a seisure right next to me because she was losing so much blood from her period. Very scary. Good news is that they can probably put you on a birth control pill or IUD to lessen your period and get you on a normal schedual. Bad news…

Simply put: If your body needs 1200 cals to survive and you eat 1200 cals and work off 500, your body now only has a total of 700 cals to live on for the day. Where will it get the rest of it's energy from? Some from fat, some from your muscles and some from your vital organs. If that trend were to continue, you would find…

I have 2 kids and the only time I buy soda is for special occasions as a treat because, yes, it is evil, and yes, it is yummy. Second, you (and when I say "you" I mean "parents") can go online or sometimes kids bring home a calendar of food for the month. If it's not that horrible, they can eat it, if it is awful, I pack a…

Why not tell the truth. When they said what you would be eating that night, you can say "that sounds absolutly delicious but you can only have a taste as you have made a change in your diet that does not allow for fried foods or gravy per the advice of your phisician" Why torture yourself with garbage that phisically makes…
