  • Bump, no time to read or reply now but want to save for later. Short answer though is no, hair growth symptoms have not got better after 40lb loss. Still got some way to go though so hopefully after a bigger loss I will see some improvement. Have next appointment in October and will see what the doctor says.
  • 5'7 here! The lowest weight I've ever been is 151 lbs for my personal build that was too skinny and unsustainable. I was UK size 10 but had no shape to me. I'm doing it by clothing this time. I'd like to be a UK size 14 as I think I would still have a nice shape to me at that size. That may be somewhere between 160-170…
  • If you go to Macdonalds you could get a couple of their hamburgers, ask for no relish. When they come throw the bread away straight away so you just have the meat patty. Eat with one of their garden salads (which I think is just tomato lettuce and cucumber).
  • I like this idea :) Throughout the Olympics I will do twenty push ups a morning and then for every gold Great Britain medal won the day before I will do 20 extra push ups (may take me a while!!), 15 extra for silver and 10 extra for every bronze. Hopefully this will get me working on my arms!!! (well I can't do ACTUAL push…
  • I love Dorothy Perkins and find they are very true to size :)
  • Lovely story! Well done to the both of you and happy anniversary!
  • I can't really remember what happened just after then but I can update you on what's been going on the last couple of weeks if you want??
  • I don't really have an answer I'm afraid but just want to say don't give up! You sound like you're doing fab and there are other ways to measure success such as with inches, body fat %, looser clothes and most importantly how you feel! I feel the same though, been stuck around a 24lb loss for a while now so will be…
  • bump for later :)
  • Yeah I think for me too it's the habit and routine of having something to do with your hands! Think I might get some of the gum for emergencys! I hadn't thought about that quitting smoking may have a knock on effect until reading the article now I'm a bit scared haha
  • It's annoying isn't it! You're doing something good for you body but then you want to eat! I've not felt more hungry these past few days but thinking back to the first weekend all I wanted to do was eat!
  • As someone who wants to lose a total of around 100lbs I completely agree! Wish I'd sorted myself out when I too "only" had 15lbs to lose! Everyone on mfp should encourage others to be healthy and be happy so keep it up and don't be discouraged/annoyed by the "only" comments :)
  • I agree! It's a sad fact of life but those are the people with the money! In the ideal world the Olympics and other sporting events would have fitting sponsors - boo real world! I can't even think of any healthy companies big and rich enough for sponsoring such a huge event which is sad!
  • Watching Red Dwarf on there at the moment, it's a classic! Watched Dollhouse too, that's good :)
  • I was just about to post the same topic! My extra question was, does anybody know of any good free mp3 downloads for jogging/running? Will look forward to hearing replies :)
  • hahaha this is hilarious. I love it when Americans misuse the word "communist". Not saying I agree with that sort of regulation but it's certainly not communist :p
  • I'm using Helman's lighter than light mayo at the moment, it is really low in cals (something like 10 cal per tablespoon which is why i bought it) but just doesn't taste nice! would rather use extra cals and have something nicer! will have a look for the other versions and see what i can find :)
  • That sounds lovely! going to try that! some good suggestions thank you :) deffo going to use laughing cow for sandwiches. i used to do that too, can't believe i hadn't remembered!
  • I try and eat some of them back but sometimes don't manage it because i'm making healthy choices I don't want to as I can stick to my none workout cals and feel full (if that makes sense) I find milk is good though, it's good for you and is a healthy way to take back some of your cals burnt without feeling like you're…
  • Coffee is the best, can't get through a days hard graft without the beautiful beverage of the gods :)
  • oops! i didn't get a notification to say you guys had written on here! gonna add you now :)
  • bump :)
  • The exercise on the the chair I mentioned is called dips.
  • Use a chair or the side of the settee or bed, place your hands on them and then lower yourself closer to the floor, do at least five reps of ten a day and it will help you :) Or if you have frees weights (or say a litre bottle of water if not or something similar that's a good weight for you) to the exercise where you have…
  • I'm from Birmingham too, temporarily actually in Germany but it's only an hour ahead :)

  • Hallo, Ich komme aus England aber jetz studiere ich in die Nähe von Berlin. Willkommen zu myfitnesspal. Faye,
  • Very interesting and does make sense. I think I might give this a go for a bit of a boost but i'm not going to be too worried at the odd piece of fruit. I bought a mango today, i'll eat that before I give up the fruit though :P
  • Hi from the Black Country :) I want to loose around 7 stone. It's going to be a long and hard journey but I know we can do it! Last week I found the pressures of life making it difficult with lots of eating out but I stuck to it and I feel much better for that willpower! Good luck!
  • How long have you been exercising and eating like this? What was it like when you first started? It's possible that your body has got used to it. Stuck in a rut, that type of thing. Maybe have a day where you whatever you want and not think about the calories. On several gym inductions i've had that is the advice that the…
  • Give them away! Or just throw them out! Seems a shame to make waste food wise and money wise but I think to keep on track it's something that needs to be done!
