I have a very difficult time getting enough potassium. I take Lasix for medical reasons. I found that V8 juice has a huge amount of potassium. Strangely too, Chef Boyardee pastas, which I know you have to watch for calorie purposes. I did see my doctor who prescribed a supplement that delivers 1500 mg!!! Hope this helps.

I have always hated my thighs! I started running and it seems to be really shaping them up! You are already walking, so maybe incorporate some jogging intervals to kick up the fat burning intensity. Some posters suggested add some weight training that will help you as well. Good luck!

I'm a pole sister too! It certainly is addictive!

Wow... I'm reading some of these responses... Why so mean? I thought this site was supposed to be motivation and supportive.... I wear the geeky basketball sweatband and look like Richard Simmons... I don't care what it looks like, but it keeps my hair out of my face!

I could run 5 miles but unfortunately, it wouldn't be fast enough to outrun him!

Great stats everyone! Congratulations on your successes!

Did my 5k this morning in 35 flat! 3rd race this year... times are getting faster!

That's me! I'm struggling with that last 10 pounds, but I am happy to at least be holding still rather than gaining back. I keep taking my measurements monthly and as long as I see some change there, I'm ok with the number on the scale. Don't get discouraged. Keep working and searching for ways to make progress.

Nice job! You look great! Keep it going. The holidays are just around the corner!

I'm 41... 5k time is about 38mins. Goal is 30mins! Just got the distance part down with the help of C25k. Working now on speed.

My neighbors and I all grow veggies in our backyards during the gardening season. We all share what is left over. I have recently learned how to can so that I can preserve some of the harvest for later on. You have to make some investment up front with jars, etc., but you know what you have and that it is healthy. I also…

Great post! Setting goals is key to getting to where you want to go. I have been setting goals for a while now, but it's a great time to refresh my list! Run a 5k - CHECK! May 2012 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer (39 Miles).... September 2012 Run another 5k with a better time.... November 2012 Warrior Dash 2013 White water…

I have both. I love my FitBit! It keeps me motivated and keeps stats for me that I wouldn't normally keep. The website allows you to log sleep patterns, heart rate, blood pressure, glucose stats. It measures daily steps, stairs, counts calories expended, and tracks sleep. The HRM I use because I have a heart condition and…
