Congrats on such a great accomplishment. Keep it going. Going back to last year (before I started MFP) I've lost almost 38 pounds. When I came into work today I ran into one of my clients, who I haven't seen in a few months. She greeted me with, "Wow you look great! Are you shrinking or something?" I'm losing this weight…

Congrats! You look great.

Thanks everybody for all the kind and supportive comments, it means so much.

On weekdays I fill out my diary the night before for breakfast and lunch, since I more or less have the same things every day. That way I know how many calories I have to play with for dinner and snacks. Weekends are a little less structured and I fill out the diary as I go but I've been doing it long enough now that I…

My office isn't realy conducive to eating healthy, with the vending machine filled with all sorts of junk food, folks bringing in cakes and doughnuts, and lunch meetings with pizza. But the funny thing is that in spite of all that temptation me and a good number of my co-workers are taking it upon ourselves to eat…

For the past couple of months I've had a salad every workday for lunch (I'm in a CSA and have been getting insane amounts of veggies). Like the others said it's not the veggies themselves that will get you in trouble, but all the toppings. So if you must have diced meat, cheese, croutons, beans, etc., make sure you measure…

Because I work 10 hour shifts I pack both breakfast and lunch. For breakfast I keep a ziploc bag of cold cereal in my desk and to go with that I'll bring in a cup of lowfat yogurt, 50 grams of berries. I also bring an English muffin, which I spread with 2 tsp of whipped butter. For lunch I'll either have a salad with…

Sweltering in New Jersey too with temps in the 100s and high humidity. Yesterday I was just barely able to get my morning walk in but felt really sick for a little while after with fatigue and nausea. Decided to pass on a workout today because ending up in the ER with heatstroke isn't worth it.

Just shake it off and keep going becuase today is a clean slate. It's not the end of the world.

I have a membership at a local organic farm for the summer, and today was my first pickup. Using what was in my basket I made a quick stew with some squash, fennel, kale, tomatoes, Italian sausage, and white beans. Had a slice of Italian bread on the side and a glass of white wine. I usually have burger and fries on…

Congrats! Now you have a shopping spree to look forward to.

I eat a packed lunch just about every day, but if I do have to go out I visit the restataurant website to look at their menu; that way I already know what I'm getting before I even leave the office. As far as logging it in if there is no nutritional info available I look for something similar on the database, or worst case…

I'm a few months shy of 47 and I eat most, if not all of my exercise calories because there's no way I can make it on 1200 calories a day or less. I can't argue with the merits of doing that since I have lost almost 17 pounds in the 3 months since I joined MFP. But in the end we all have to find the way that works best for…

I always go over my 1200 calorie limit on weekends because I don't have exercise calories to fall back on (I only work out Mon.-Fri.). Even so, on Saturday I set 1500 as my limit. As far as Sunday that's my cheat day where I eat what I want, but I still log everything. I'm real strict about staying within my limit Monday…

I'll occasionally have one when I don't have time for breakfast. It's filling and keeps me going all morning.
-
Congratulations! That's awesome.

Basically I don't go over my calorie goal (1200 net) Monday through Friday, which isn't hard since it's 1700 once the exercise calories are factored in (if I can even be 50-100 calories under even better). I do exceed my calorie limits Saturday and Sunday because I don't exercise on those days. On Saturday I try to limit…

Typically I'll have 2-3 beers or a couple of glasses of wine on the weekend. I tend to be much more strict about staying within my calorie limit Mon.-Thurs., so there's no room for alcoholic beverages.
-
On weekdays I usually log in most of my food the night before since I pretty much have the same things for breakfast and lunch. I find that helpful because that gives me an idea of how many calories I'll have to play with for snacks and dinner and can plan accordingly. On weekends I'll log in the food before I eat it, or…

Mon. - Fri.: various whole grain cereals (at the moment Total Whole Grain) topped with nonfat yogurt and about 50g of berries, toasted English muffin with butter Sat.: Oatmeal or Cream of Wheat topped with 1 tbsp of maple syrup and berries Sun.: I splurge and have a veggie omelet, 2 slices of thick bacon, and a bagel with…

Same here. Though I log everything I feel like whatever I eat, good or bad, is my business. I remember how miserable I felt this time last year when I started to creep into the 200s, and not wanting to go back to that state again is enough to keep me accountable to myself. But having said that there is no right or wrong…

Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds is my DVD workout of choice. I do the 3 mile followed by the 1 mile.
-
As long as you're disciplined enough to keep it to the weekends, and at 25 lbs lost it seems to be working for you, don't worry about it too much. I basically have the same mindset. I am really careful about what I eat Mon.-Fri. and tend to be a bit more lax on the weekends, especially Sunday. In a weird way it keeps me…

80 minutes 5 days a week, walking outside 4 miles. If the weather's bad then about 70 minutes of Leslie Sansone 3 mile and 1 mile workouts.

Next month I start my 2nd year with a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program at a local organic farm. Last year their selection of fruit and veg was ridiculous...squash, corn, greens, tomatoes, peppers, melons, berries, and exotic stuff like kohlrabi and jicama. There is nothing like eating produce that was…

Since I have to get ready and be out the door for work right after I finish my workout, I don't have anything to eat until about 4 hours after I get up. I will have a glass of water before and after the workout though.

Congrats! Isn't that an awesome feeling? I'm in the same boat. I had to start using safety pins last week. Even my favorite pair of jeans are now too loose. I tried on my summer pants this weekend and it looks like I will have to send them to the cleaners to get taken in. Keep up the great work!

My pants are now so loose that if someone gave a good tug on the leg they would be around my ankles. Safety pins have become my best friends the past couple of weeks. In a way I'm sad because my favorite pair of jeans is now too big, but I get a shopping spree out of it so I can live with that.
