I would agree with water retention but the latest studies have shown there is very little (if any) link between salt intake and blood pressure.

I have a cheat "meal" once a week. Normally it's pancakes on a Saturday morning but could be going out to dinner. I also try to make sure I am doing some sort of workout that day to counter the extra calories.
