  • I've got a small but great circle of friends, very active and supportive. if not me, then take a look at my friends list. Any of them would be happy to welcome you all.
  • I was recently booted from a dadbod group. It felt great
  • Hello!
  • Wow - fantastic progress so far - Nice Work!
  • You can do it!! I love the gym too and I know just what you mean about overthinking on the nutrition side. It's where I needed to learn the most, and I'm soaking it up like a sponge. Best of luck!
  • Welcome, and sorry to hear about your struggles. If you need motivating friends that are active on the app then me and my current circle of friends here may be what you are looking for. MFP has really helped and I hope it helps you. Good luck with your journey. You got this!
  • Hello! Its great your doing well with the logging. The good news is it gets easier as the app learns your frequent food items. If you set your goals right, and stick to the plan it gives you, my experience is that the scale will follow. Good luck and feel free to reach out if you need a friend or some advice and support.
  • I think the APP can do just that for you - help you develop a stable diet by tracking your calorie intake and keeping to the goals you set. This definitely works if you work it! If you need any help, just reach out.
  • Welcome! Let us know if you have any questions or need any help or motivation!
  • It's been a great summer! August is my favorite month, so no way I'm rushing through it! Hope you've had a great one too.
  • Welcome pal! I've been on MFP a long time, but recently re-engaged the community again for similar reasons, and to help anyone else that I could on their journey. Lately I find myself with a small group of really nice, active, and supportive friends. Maybe some of them would fit in your circle too. Best of luck on your…
  • Substract pop tarts - add yogurt. :) We're really glad you're here. It just takes a few changes and a few new habits to get the needle moving in the right direction. After that, the "little wins" are pretty motivating and will tell you that YOU CAN DO THIS.
  • The app works if you work it! Long time user from NY. Good luck on your journey!
  • I think the more people we have to encourage, or to offer us encouragement, the better! I'm on daily and so into my own journey - again. Good luck!
  • You've got this Angel - Let's do it this time! Here goes everything! I've always found the community here very helpful, and it's nice to have friends to encourage and for encouragement. There will be up days, and down days, just remember this fight starts today and does not end. It's a fight YOU can win.
  • Welcome! Holler if you need help or encouragement.
  • Welcome! MFP can get you there - calories in / calories out - and it sounds like you've got your mind in a good place to get this started. Don't get discouraged if it takes a minute to get the scale moving in the right direction. At a moderate pace, you could get that 40 lbs. off by the end of the year. I hope you do! Get…
  • Anyone feel free to add me. :) I've been using the app for 9+ years and and I'm active daily. It's fun to have a few friends here, that are into it, and that I can encourage with a like or a comment. Most of mine have faded away over time.
  • Congrats on the wedding! 10 lbs. by next spring - you got this! I log and check in almost daily, only miss a day here and there. I also share my diary. After 9+ years using the app, we are in slightly different places, but if you still find yourself needing someone to check in with and bounce things off of, you can find…
  • I'm kinda in the same spot, musclemama. I've accomplished my weight loss goal and now would like to stay the same weight and add muscle - some body recomposition. I've decided to set my calorie goal to a slight deficit, and then work the macros to support my increased protein intake. At 6'4", and 184 lbs. this morning, I…
  • Welcome! You took the first step, and that's huge! You got this!!
  • Welcome Ann! I swear by the app but in the end, it's all up to you. It sounds like you've got the right attitude to get this done!
  • You're in the right place. I've been using the app for 9-10 years and it's the first thing I recommend people use for weight loss. You can't improve unless you measure and the app will help a lot. Set your weight goal, and follow it's calorie targets. You can get that needle moving!
  • A beautiful woman is a beautiful woman - absolutely no doubt about it.
  • Daily logger with open dairy at Maintenance, like friends!
  • My routine: stretch first, 30-40 minutes on the elliptical, 30-40 minutes of weigh training alternating muscle groups each visit. Just do it. You'll learn a lot by watching others and find a groove that works for you.
  • Trust the app! It got you here and it's not done helping. I'm trying to move towards maintenance. I changed my goal from losing 1.5 lbs / week to losing .5 lbs per week. I'm enjoying 200 more calories per day and weight is fairly steady, normal 3 lb fluctuation within the week. I can tell I'm still at a slight deficit, as…
  • same here - just returned from a week at the beach. I'd been logging daily since January 1st, and have lost 45 lbs this year. I went on vacation last week and decided not to log, just for a break. We ate out everyday and I honestly ate what I wanted. I did hit the hotel gym a few mornings but did not get a satisfying…
