  • L1D10 done today. A bit scared for tomorrow!
  • L1D9 done :) Didn't manage to do any over the weekend, am a bit disappointed in myself for being on day 9 twenty days in! But I am very determined now. We were staying with family last week for a wedding and my Father-in-law mentioned how fat I am  Probably wont see him again until August, so I am determined to be…
  • I went running with my husband once and almost died. But he struggles to swim 200 metres, whereas I can do 5km in one session. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. I'm working on my weaknesses, I'll be able to overtake him one day ;)
  • You burn slightly more calories after eating as your body uses energy to digest the food, however it take the same amount of energy regardless of if you eat it all in one go or in smaller amounts (assuming you're eating the same). Some people find snacking helps them avoid binging, others find it makes it harder for them…
  • L1D8 done :)
  • L1D7 Finished! Ohh, I might look into that DVD, it sounds good. What are people using for weights? I was using tins, then two water bottles, but I'm staying with my dad for a few days as my husband is on a course nearby, so I've stolen my old weights back from my sister! Using 2kg at the minute, could go up to 6kg but…
  • L1D6 done. I did 4 days then took just over a week off, thought I'd be really sore after doing it again yesterday but I'm feeling ok :) might do L2 this evening again. I think once I've done the 30 days I'm going to just do the strength training bits from all 3 videos every other day.
  • I'm massively behind now as we've been on holiday and I've done nothing! Starting again tomorrow and looking forward to it :)
  • I'm a tiny bit heavier today too. From what I understand it's just our muscles holding onto water to help repair themselves. Just done L1D3, I'm very stiff but the actual exercisers are getting easier, I'm taking less breaks! I'm doing it alongside extra strength training, only bodyweight as I can't get to an actual gym.…
  • I read that making sure you drink enough can help the appearance of cellulite, but other than that I think exercise, strength training in particlar, is definitely your best bet. There's some suggestion that massaging helps, which is why some people get small results with creams, as it increases blood flow. But no where…
  • I'm 5'5 and started at 185lb post pregnancy, although a lot of the weight was put on before getting pregnant! I struggled to find the motivation to lose weight for almost a year, but I'm now at 169lb and slowly going down :) Current goal is 135, might want to lose more once I get there.
  • I weigh 1-3 times a day. I'm not obsessive and know all about fluctuations, i just love statistics! I've got an app on my phone that allows you to put in morning, noon and evening weight and then gives averages and trends. I log on MFP every few days.
  • My sports bra arrived (Freya active underwired- really supportive but a tiny bit large in the back, already on the tightest hook, but hopefully it won't stretch like normal bras do) and did L1D2. Even more of a killer when doing all the cardio properly! Feeling good now it's over though.
  • Even giving him the benefit of the doubt and suggesting he was attempting to motivate you with tough love, the above is just not true. He doesn't sound like a very good trainer at all. I hope there's another one there who you get on with better :)
  • I'm not a single mum, but my husband goes away a lot and we have no family nearby (I know that's not the same at all, but it does make it hard to get to the gym!). I'm doing the 30 day shred at the minute, the videos are on YouTube and are less than 30 minutes a day. I've also downloaded the You Are Your Own Gym app…
  • Time will help most of all, but some people find fake tan can hide them. As for swimsuits I think I've found a cut out suit which will hit just right to avoid my marks. Im hoping to buy that and a pretty sarong for my holiday this year :)
  • I am so sore! I tried l2 in the evening to see what it was like. Didn't put much effort in as I was so tired from l1 but I'm so stiff now! Anyone else aching?
  • I ended up doing a weird jumpy thing whilst holding my boobs :/ hopefully the bra will arrive tomorrow. I'm breastfeeding and have to order all my bras online as normal stores don't stock my size :(
  • Ok, I'm dying. My daughter woke up halfway through so came in to laugh at me, until I knocked her on the head with one of the tins I was using as weights :/ luckily she didn't really notice. Even with doing modified cardio and following Anita my legs were shaking by the end of it! It's strangely addictive though, I already…
  • Ok thanks, I might give it a go now whilst my daughters napping :)
  • I really want to do this and was planning on starting yesterday but my sports bra still hasn't arrived :( Is there lots of jumping type movements? I've skimmed through the video but can't really tell. Slightly top heavy so can't do anything with a bit of bounce!
  • 1-2 lb per week is a good rate to lose. One of the problems with losing too fast its that you'll end up losing more lean body mass as well as fat and end up looking less 'toned' at the end. It obviously takes longer losing slower, but you'll end up with a better body.
  • There's a book called 'You Are Your Own Gym' that has loads of great bodyweight exercises and progressions so that you can get stronger and build muscle. There is also an app (in the UK at least, not sure if it's available everywhere) and the book can be downloaded onto a kindle fairly cheaply.
  • I'm starting this week. I'm quite excited about it but I know I'll find it really hard as I'm so unfit at the minute!
  • I swam 140 lengths yesterday (3.5km). It's only the second time I've been swimming properly in the last 2 years so I'm pretty proud that I'm getting back into it so quickly!
  • Cycled 5 miles yesterday, and then my bike broke! Hopefully my husband can fix it, but he's away until Sunday. I have a rowing machine, could I rack up some miles on that in the meantime?
  • 9.5 miles on the exercise bike yesterday, so 12.5 miles so far. About to do another 5-10 (depending on how tired I am!)
  • I want to do this! Would be mostly on the exercise bike, with a bit of walking. Going to stay with family for Christmas so aiming for 100 miles by the 19th. 3 miles on the exercise bike yesterday :)
  • I think the Ticker and Summary go by your original weight, so wont show any pounds lost until you weigh less than you did the first time you signed up. I could be wrong though!
  • I'm very jealous! My daughter is only 2 months but she really hates sleep, I'm beginning to feel like I'll never have a full nights sleep again. It's nice to hear though, gives me a bit of hope!
