Hate to tell you this but it is physically impossible to lose 4-5 pounds of fat in one week so you definitely dropped water weight. If it helps you eventually lose actual pounds and maintain that loss then yeah! But it is not a sustainable eating habit, just a quick start.

Vegetarians who eat a variety of foods really can get quite enough iron and protein. Quinoa, beans, greens are super healthy. I have lots of meatless days but really enjoy fish so I would never give it all up but I do try to pound the veggies in!

Incredibly weird..... Over estimate your food numbers. underestimate your exercise. If you try to take calories off your food for odd things like rinsing ground beef then you probably aren't measuring as well as you should and those calories can add up.

Pierce it in a couple spots with a knife and stick it in the microwave for 12 minutes for a large one. Let it rest then split and pull out the meat.

Sorry but as a nurse in the psych field I totally disagree. Food is just as addicting and is being tampered with by the big companies to become even more so. We have to most difficult addiction to overcome because you "need" no other addictive substance to survive but you need food. Congrats to the OP!

You've been here since December and lost 4#, what's the big hurry now? You will crash and burn as 600 is not sustainable and diet pills are stupid all the way around. If you had been eating healthy since joining you would already be down more than 4#. EAT HEALTHY! EAT CLEAN! EAT AT LEAST YOUR BMR!

Too much processed foods...try more natural items, fish, chicken and fruits and veggies. Quality of food will help get you off the plateau. I use no fake sweeteners either and finally started losing after months of not. Food scale, measuring cups and heart rate monitor too.

As much as I believe that we should lose weight for our own satisfaction, losing for and with our family is even btter and more necessary. Teach your children well.

Technically you could lose weight by soaking in the tub all day and never eating but I would not suggest it..... If your liver and kidneys are "sluggish" then you are ill. Drink water and eat real food in slightly less amounts then you burn and you will lose weight. This was very entertaining!

I put a tablespoon of creamy peanut butter (almond butter of that Speculous Butter from Trader Joe's) into 8-12 oz of insweetened vanilla almond milk and enjoy as a hot drink.....super yummy!
