Nice work! I am more into the bodyfat % than the body weight, so I am lifting and taking my time, in a size small now but I will be done when I love how I look in a bikini. Of course I love I can put one on now and not want to scream. :)

Fitbit gets your steps, I have a Fitbit One, and here is an example, I carried a treadmill and other items, Fitbit got my steps, it can't tell if you are carrying something, scrubbing, etc. If you only go by that number and you do activities that involve things like I mentioned, or you lift weights, you are not going to…

Last time we lost a significant percentage of the population to the flu was the Spanish flu epidemic, but that was really bad, ended in 1920, my Grandmother died on the tail end of it, she was in her 20s and my Dad was a baby. I usually get my flu shot when I have my yearly physical in November. Last year it was late so I…

You burn more calories standing than sitting. I would cover it by going in settings/your diet profile and set your daily activities to lightly active at least or active, although then make sure you are active the days you are off work or use lightly active. Then, record any activity you do beyond your normal.

You can eat rice in moderation, when I was getting out of obese range I had many days I would have 1/3 cup of brown rice with dinner, or half a baked potato...no reason you can't have veggies and starches.

It should not matter now when you are 21 and he is 33 as long as you want the same things and have similar interests and core values, but I would think long and hard if you are ready to handle it when you are 51 and he is 63, or when you are 61 and he is 73, the older you get, the more that 12 years will make a difference.…

Potatoes, if I eat pasta, but the high fiber lower carb pasta is also good.

Quinoa is actually a seed, it is a grain when grown, but it is the seeds that are harvested and eaten, very tasty and good for you.

I think you are a little confused dear. I started weight lifting the first week of May, 2014, bra size was 38 B, now here we are in the 6th month of lifting, my bra size is 36 C. Not sure why you think you lose your bra size, but I can guarantee you that if you don't build some muscles, as you age you are going to have to…

It is best IMHO to fix your metabolism so you can eat more and not gain, then learn to live at that (much better number). I know I can eat 2000 and not gain no problem now, but I think by the time I am done I will be able to eat even more consistently and not gain, even now I have some days over that but not by much and…

The only time I think that is true is if the person learns/keeps better habits. Eating 1200 or less long-term is not good for you, your body needs more nutrition than that. VCLD diets (meaning under 800 calories a day) are not only bad but dangerous. I did a low calorie diet (not very low, just low) to get out of obese…
-
A VCLD is less healthy, you lose muscle, bones and even organ damage can happen once you get below 500.

Great progress!

Fried foods, candy and baked goods are not food groups. Food groups are fruit, vegetables, grains, meats, dairy. You can eat from all food groups but stick to the healthier versions, I didn't have fried food for months, then I worked it back in as a (rare) treat, so I still almost never eat it. What do you mean baked…

I don't think short women have this issue, I am 5' 2" and I never did, but my husband is 6 ft.
-
It bothered me I had to get to the end see it was basically promoting a 10 carbs, 30 fat, 60 protein diet. I don't think there is a one size fits all diet. Some people do better on high protein, some do better as vegetarians, etc. I think everybody should do what works for them, also I don't agree with eating very low…

Either eat back your exercise calories, or do TDEE with a deficit, that is not good for you and you will lose muscle and maybe worse that way.
-
Great job!

Nice job, I am up to 200 lbs. at this point, just keep working at it 5 or 10 lbs. at a time, you will be there before you know it. Try to go a little more below parallel on the squat if you can.
-
It sounds like you have a distorted body image, you look too skinny in that picture, I definitely would not keep losing. Maybe what you need to do is lift weights and tone up, not keep punishing your body.
-
I am 5' 2" and weigh 139, my goal weight is 130, but it might change. I don't care about the number on the scale, I care about body fat %. I also lift heavy and have a lot of muscle, which is denser than fat, less of it takes up more space, so your scale weight could be heavier, but you are smaller, there are so many…

I am definitely grouchy today because I am sick...count me in.
