Polar Loop Feedback
Can anybody who owns/uses a Polar Loop with the chest band let me know how they like it? I bought a FitBit One and it is ok, but there is SO much it doesn't get at all, to be honest I have not had it that long and I already want something better. I am thinking a Polar Loop might be better, but it has to be comfortable…

Adjust downward?
I never sync my fitbit till the evening after usually syncing it once or twice in the early morning. If MFP starts adjusting my calories downward, they can expect me to remove fitbit from MFP toot sweet, it should be up to ME not you, and for people who sync like I do, you will only annoy me and make me get rid of you.

Workout Time
I am changing my workout time, going to lift Tues/Thurs/Sat this week. Mondays I have to be in at 9 for a meeting but I arranged with my work to go in later the other days, on the Mondays I will go in earlier to avoid the terrible traffic. That way I can work out at 6 a.m.-ish and go in to work after that. With the…

Accident Prone
I have never been accident prone but I seem to be now. I messed up my same hand (left) again today, this time the ball of the thumb on my palm, I cut it while I was cleaning for our party tomorrow. This means I will be doing T-Tapp and cardio for the next week, that is right where the bar goes. Right now I have to keep my…

MFP vs. IIFYM
So, I put my info in IIFYM, with the correct activity level, and it told me I should eat 1700-1900 calories/day, depending on the formula (the one where you enter your body fat % told me 1900). I had my goal at 1500 but I tried to eat more, I was losing a little less than a pound some weeks (my goal is 1 lb.) so I figured…

MFP Calculator
So, I wanted to see what MFP would tell me if I did a guided goal at my new weight, it was telling me to eat 1200 calories net, no matter what I put in for exercise, estimated calories burned, etc., and at that deficit I would lose 1 lb. per week...seriously? Scooby and IIFYM both tell me I burn a lot more to begin with,…

I have learned: they know what they are talking about
So, in the time I have been on MFP, the long-timers said strength/resistance training was better to keep your muscle, I was doing mostly cardio to get fat off in a hurry, till after about the first 30 lbs. I noticed the "other" (which is loss of muscle or other tissue but tanitas also measure water and account for that)…

Question for Weight Lifters
I have been pushing my body, right now I am at 35% body fat and my goal is 25%, I am not caring too much what the scale says anymore as long as I don't see I am gaining weight (more than just retention). So, that is actually what my question is about. I thought I was retaining a few pounds of water since Wednesday and I…

Question about Weights
So, I am looking around for a starter set (I guess) for me and my husband is also interested. I don't want to spend tons of money so I am looking on Craigslist, and I saw this one not too far away for a reasonable price, would it be a good thing to start with? Marcy bench/squat rack and 185 lbs in weights w/ dumbbell bars.…

Getting Ready to Start Lifting
Not going to go to the gym, bought weights and a bench and going to do it at home. I have the weights (up to 110 lbs. to start) and I waiting for the bench to arrive probably early next week, it was shipped 2 days ago. Once it gets here we will have to get everything set up, my husband wants to try it too (if he likes it I…

Stationery bicycle calories with HIIT
So since I am on a 1000 calorie diet, I don't go over 300 with exercising, but when using my stationery bicycle, I don't get off of there until it says 300 (or thereabouts, today it was 315). So, here is my question, if you do HIIT, say you are going 9 to 10 and then you do bursts of 11-14, is that counted in the total…

I am a newbie
Started last Wednesday when I started my Physicians Weight Loss Center Diet to keep track of what I eat and my exercise. I decided I needed supervision and to be accountable, etc. I have lots of muscle from working out using all different methods, but I need to get this fat off, it is too hard on my body! So, I hope to…
