Ahhh , I see where the %'s are coming from I think....the fat/water measuring scales?? Wildly inaccurate at the best of times. I wouldn't pay much attention to the percentages but ok for weight monitoring. Tape measure and a pair of calipers would be a better bet IMO. When you start a diet your body will use its glycogen…

Be interested to know how you measured your muscle/fat % ? That's a big loss in one week but fairly common when starting out (most of it will be water weight in the first week or so) Give yourself another week or 2 and the loss will level out to 'normal' levels. Be interesting to see how it goes , keep up the good work!

I've been whinging about the low cals MFP gives me for a heart pumping , 45 min , heavy lifting session......but I still log them (under cardio/weight lifting) I still cant see how a 20 min leisurely bike ride ride can be worth twice the cals of a heavy lifting workout ?!

Not sure you'll find much in the way of choice if your looking for a low carb bar ( though I've not searched for one!) I spent quite a while on the bay comparing them and they were all high on carbs ( oats being the main ingredient ) I've tried a few others , xl nutrition being one but wasn't so keen on the taste....…

I use CNP pro flapjack bars , a good mid priced bar imho. Usually buy 2 box's (1 choc 1 lemon) of 24 from fleabay at £34.99. There's better bars out there but like you've found out they can be expensive! Just watch out for bars loaded with sugars for there carb source

Thanks for putting us 'old men' in with the creepy guys! From a male perspective , I've tried the online dating sites since my divorce 10 yrs ago and in that time I've had a Cpl of 'long term' relationships. They ultimately failed but we still remain good friends so I'm thankful for that at least. But one thing I will say…

Fair enough but I'd still rather have the 'single life ' sex a bit less often than the (what can become , eventually) boring sex of a long term relationship....

Who said you can't have sex when single?!!

I've struggled with my barbell squat , stalled at 75kg 3 x 8 reps. Mainly due to 2 iffy knees and an iffy ankle . Now doing variations with sumo squats, dumbbell squats and goblet squats which seem to be activating the target muscles nicely with a body weight 21 squat (7 x lower range of motion , 7 x mid range and 7 full…
