  • WOOT!! Welcome to the 12+ week reset club :glasses: Nice to have some company! Here's to a new you! :drinker: ~Kiki
  • YEESSSS Please bookmark, because you WILL get panicky you WILL gain weight you WILL want to quit if you do quit... you WILL, more than likely, end up back at square one :ohwell: and if you push through..... you WILL BE SO GRATEFUL THAT YOU DID!!! ~Kiki :flowerforyou:

  • These are my exact feelings. I think (and have seen) that even though a person's body now *thinks* that the lower # is maintenance, they can retrain it to what maintenance *should* be, with some (ok, TONS of) patience. The same way that we lower cals further and further to "break plateaus" and then our body adapts, can be…
  • There could be a multitude of reasons for the scale increase, but to answer some of your questions: 1) yes eating too little for the amount of exercise you do can cause your body to store fat (and to break down muscle, rather than build it!) 2) when you lift that heavy, you tear the muscle, so your body pulls water into…
  • THAT was beautiful!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!
  • ROFL!! How about getting them delivered personally via PM?? ...Daily? :indifferent: SO not the best part of waking up... ~Kiki
  • Yes, please do. It's a tad easier to troubleshoot that way. It's so hard to keep tabs on the posts here, and we're often buried so deep in PMs, that we can't make it over here for a bit.... Keep your head up, it's just about finding what makes it work for *you* It will happen ;) ~Kiki
  • L.O.V.E. It's all mental, baby! When we get the mentality under control, we.are.good.
  • You only really need to reset if you ate low cals for a long period of time. But it doesn't seem like you did? If you have a history of dieting/severe calorie restriction then the reset is recommended. If not, feel free to just hop to your TDEE -15% and start from there  ~Kiki
  • This is golden! So many people hop from one thing to another, that it's hard to see what "works" - then they just toss it all and say that *none* of it worked, when it's really too hard to even *kitten*. Just too many variables....
  • Not necessarily. Muscle is more "expensive" so when you put your body on a "budget" (less cals than it required for maintenance), the extras are typically the first to go. Muscle is one of those luxuries. Fat is a necessity, so our bodies tend to prefer *it* for storage.. ~Kiki

  • I think this post is a great example of how to make the program YOURS, and shows how one would adopt the things that I stated here about not saying "it's not working." http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/729544-the-bad-and-the-ugly-side-of-the-journey This is about finding what works for your lifestyle, and then living…
  • YOU have no idea how much I needed to hear THAT. Seriously. Well....other than the whole cardio nonsense... (just kidding, I've always said that cardio is a personal choice...as long as we eat to support our efforts - that's all that matters :flowerforyou: ) Thank you again...Even I need to be talked off the ledge…
  • I completely agree with this. I can understand your frustration. EM2WL is a personal journey. There is no saying that it didn't work for you. It's *your* program, *you* are the only one that it WILL work for. No two people's journey will look alike. The reason for the threads that state "patience" a zillion times over are…
  • Hey guys! I just wanted to pop in and remind everyone that forums like these often become a "troubleshooting" mechanism. So it will always"look" like "everyone is complaining" LOL. People that up their cals and live happily ever after, are doing just that...living happily ever after...somewhere other than here  So…
  • Yay!!! I came here specifically looking for my monthly dose of "Mike update" LOL That is SO amazing!! You look like you've lost 50+ !!! :noway: :noway: :noway: WOWOWW!!!
  • Maybe you'd enjoy using a Fitbit, seeing as it sets the mini challenges where you are competing against yourself. Lots of numbers there, lol. Or join Fitocracy (cheaper route, lol) for those same challenge features.. The whole concept of it is an ongoing fitness game that you play against yourself, you earn points, etc,…
  • Why don't you find a way to spice it up? Lol. Tweak the numbers in a way that you're still accomplishing the same thing, but still get to see the numbers go up. Idk if that makes sense? Or do a different workout. Or find a hobby? Lol. Logging takes so little of your day, why put all your stock into it? There's gotta be…
  • You should be able to do most of the lying moves on the floor, or a stability ball if you have one. If you do purchase, I hope you'll click through EM2WL, and help support the new site. :flowerforyou: Kiki
  • Most of my faves are here: http://eatmore2weighless.com/shop/ Muscle definition is actually one of them, lol.. But I can't remember if it has lots of lunges? I can preview it and check for ya, if you want? Kiki
  • I love this thread, and your boldness to do what needs to be done.
  • Have you ever taken one? If not, it's absolutely time. You will come back refreshed and ready to keep going. What was your pre-preg weight and how long of a time frame did you give yourself to get the weight off? Was that time frame realistic? By whose standards? You can do this, girl. But you have to look at things…

  • Hey Everyone! Just popping in to say hi, and let you all know that I've been keeping my eyes on these threads (and trying my best not to bombard them with rambles, lol) Just a few notes/suggestions for everyone: 1) YES, track your starting weight. 2) YES, track your measurements. 3) YES,YES,YES, take PICS!!! <<<<<this is…
  • I gained 30-40 :noway: and guess what baby, I kept.it.moving  There was no way in the world I was turning back to 1200. There is no magic # of how much you gain, everyone is different, and several people gain WAY more than 8lbs. (I gain that just w/TOM)...don't underestimate how water weight looks on the scale. If…
  • Exercise cals should already be included in your TDEE numbers, so you are correct, you should NOT be eating them back. Glad you got things all figured out, and you're so right, taking the time to figure out your body AND be able to still eat more is SO worth it, rather than giving up, going back to low cals, and…
  • actually many of the IF findings began with Ramadan research. you'll find that a lot of the info is based on that Becca- the only way to know is to try. if you already skip breakfast, then you "kinda" already do it, lol. I know you eat late, though, so you'd probably have to wait til like 1-ish? Try and see if it fits your…
  • Lol!! Exactly!! That's why I "accidentally" IF when DH leaves for work early. Because I sleep in, instead of fixing & eating breakfast at 5-6am, lol. I go to bed late, so I eat up til like 12am, lol. I'm always eating...
  • I love Nia Shanks site, as well as stuff by Lyle McDonald, Alan Aragon, & a slew of others who all promote IF. Heck, even Andrew Weil does. I love them all, and would never tell anyone else to go against research, because I'm a research fiend. But, the results really aren't THAT much different, for anyone to do it IF IT…
