The older (I'll be 37 next month) I get, the more nervous I get about hormones because of blood clot risk. I have a copper IUD, which makes my period last longer, but with a Diva cup I barely notice it.

I think there are parts that are wonderful. Adipisitivity art photos showing the beauty that can be found in every body are great! Fashion and art and sexyiness, yes! But I've parted ways with the HAES part of fat acceptance because, while I've found love and fashion and beauty (to an extent) as an obese person, my knees…

I started at 275 and got down to 185 before a relapse. I'd say weigh every day, log it once a week, count every calorie that goes into your mouth. Take a look at my profile -- I found that mini goals (every five pounds) and rewards for the mid-way points were helpful. Good luck!

For what it's worth, I lost 90lbs in a year eating around 1400 calories a day.

I started at 275, and it took me a year to get to 285. I slacked for a year, and now I'm 189. I hope by this time next year I'm at goal weight (150).

5'6" Start - 275ish Current - 190.6 Goal - 150

Just here to say that I was fat from 9 years old until 33 years old. One here on year let me drop 90lbs. If you're like me, when you really commit to logging your food, that first 80 pounds will just slide off of you. Now, I've been at a stand-still for over a year....so that's the next hurdle.

Meh, it all depends. I've lost 85lbs which took me from a size 20 to a 12.

My babies are 4 and 7. Hopefully I can lose the baby weight before they start shaving.

<-- Part of the "I lost so much following the sixth-month diet that I didn't qualify anymore" club.

Coffee & vanilla coke zero are my go-to zero calorie items. For low calorie foods, I'm a little obsessed with PB2 and 50 calorie string cheese.

I lost 90-ish pounds and went from a 46DD to a 38DD. I lost weight in my back, face and legs first, gut is still big. We all lose differently. I'd say buy some cheap bras until you're at goal weight, and then get the fancy stuff. I'm buying Target bras and am saving Victoria Secret as an end-game prize.

I bought clothes at a "regular people" store. For someone who's spent my whole life shopping at Lane Bryant, this is a big deal! Last night I got into a size 12 bermuda shorts at Aeropostale!

I completed it last spring, and now I use running as my regular cardio. I went from a bonafide couch potato (275lbs) to someone who's completed (oh so slowly!) two 5k runs and weighs 183. I used the podcasts from NHS. Laura, the friendly British person whispering in my ear, was a life saver.

Two sweeteners and skim milk or almond milk, when I'm not using a creamer.

I'm down 90lbs, and I still feel pretty fat because I've got this huge gut. :disappointed:

Since February 2014 I've lost 89 pounds, started running, dropped 4 pant sizes, and feel so much better about myself.

My final push was the combination of my hips hurting so bad I could barely walk, and my 2-year-old daughter telling me I was ugly.

Great suggestions -- thank you so much!

I bought a waist training corset.... but I'm under no illusion that it'll change my body shape. It's mostly just sexy. But I wore it on Valentine's day to try to eat less at dinner. Yep, didn't work. I had to waddle out of the restaurant!
-
Then: Now: 85 lbs difference. Still have 40 to go.

My start weight was 275 and I was dropping 5lbs a week. It was wonderful! Now that I'm at 190, I'm lucky if I lose half a pound a week. It's disheartening, but I have to believe that if I just keep at it, it'll happen. Slow and steady. Be the tortoise.

1 year ago today I weighted 275+ pounds. I wore a size 20/22 pants, xl shirt, a size 46D bra, and I was always tired. I ate a lot of fried food, I was sedentary, I was miserable. A year ago, my 2-year-old daughter told me I was ugly. Today, I weight 190 pounds. I wear a size 14 jeans and a large shirt, 40DD bra. I've run…

I've got a fitbit zip. It's the cheapest model they offer, but I like it. I don't have to wear it as a bracelet; I clip it to my bra or my waistband. It will sync with iphone, android, and (my beloved) Windows phone. It doesn't measure sleep, heart rate, or stairs climbed, but it measures enough for me.

I used to eat, literally every day, pasta for breakfast. Aaaand I weighted 275. Now, every other day I drink a smoothie for breakfast (the other days I have 2 scrambled eggs and toast). That's the most drastic change I've made to my diet, and I've dropped 85 pounds since February. Here's my smoothie: 1 cup skim milk 1…

Because I like good news, I always weight myself in the morning after my first pee but before my breakfast. Also, I only wear underpants when I do it!
