Female / 25 / 5'4" [215lbs > 165lbs = 50lbs] (6 months exactly):drinker:

Shiny hair!

I'm 5'4", my initial goal is 140. Beyond that, maybe 130. I literally don't have the structure to be really small, so I don't know if I'll even make 130. But 140 is perfectly healthy, hence why it's my goal :) I started at 215lbs 6 months ago, and I'm at 165 now. Honestly, as much as I wanna hit that 140, and even though…

Amazing congrats! And I totally don't think it's silly to be excited about that. I'm also 5'4" and I remember recalculating every time I lost a pound. Finally, at the beginning of June, I slipped down to 'Overweight' as well! I was SO excited! I realize I didn't come as far as you, so I can only imagine how elated that…

When I was obese a few short months ago, the only exercise I could do was Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds videos. That was essentially walking (and knee lifts, kicks, etc.) in place. I sweat like a beast. I absolutely considered it a workout. 3 months later, I'm doing 30 Day Shred, learning to run, going to zumba 3-4x…

You just know that you'll get a call some day from a concerned friend who hasn't seen you in a while, cautioning that they saw your wife out with some thin stranger! Congrats!

You're a fantastic person and I'm so happy for you!

Thanks!

ROFL. Per week, I'd say I have about 16 glasses of wine (1 and a half or 2 per night). I get drunk a total of never! If I have to work a night shift, I don't drink. If I had a night job, I wouldn't drink. I NEVER drink cocktails or hard liquor or pound beers. But I love a glass or two of wine. I've lost 49lbs, and at this…

I started at 5'4" and 215. I'm still losing approximately 2lbs per week, started out at 1200 calories because I was sedentary, now I work out 6 days a week and eat like 1500 calories.

More of a 'during' than a before. 5'4" Start: 215lbs, size 16-18 (depending on the day). Now: 165.4 (SO CLOSE TO 50LBS!), 169 in the picture, size 12. And March 10thish, 2014 at 198 vs June 22nd at 167:

For me, personally, I was obese and started at 1200. I didn't eat back exercise calories (not that there were many to eat then!) then, nor do I now. Now that I'm nearly 50lbs lighter and MUCH more active, I eat 1400-1500 calories per day. And I'm still losing at about 1,9lbs per week (not necessarily every week; some weeks…

^ basically this haha. Even now, because I was so heavy, I have that gut. The gut no longer has as much fat in it, now it's basically just a stretchmark-covered skin-pouch of doom. Shaping underwear are a necessity for it to be as flat as the rest of me. But only having one chin again? And a waist? Pretty awesome, flabby…

I started at 215, and although I started feeling physically better as soon as I started eating like a healthy human, I went down my first pant size + had people comment on my loss after 27ish pounds. Since then, it's been like every single ounce brings on a new change or a new compliment. Edited because I somehow always…

The drinking age is 19 where I live, and I forgot it's higher in the US. So, OP - heed my reccomendations after your birthday :)

I drink wine almost nightly (a glass or 2, not a bottle!), and it's the only alcohol I consume. I am not sophisticated, nor a wine snob, but my personal preference that tastes delicious and fits my meagre budget is Yellowtail Shiraz. Where I live in Canada, a 750ml bottle is $13. It'll last me 2-3 nights (depending on if…

This has probably been mentioned 100 times, but that poor woman can't effing win. People think she's a cow, she works on it and gets back in awesome shape, and now she's too muscular? It's bad enough she was shamed to the high heavens by her old bible-belt fanbase when she got pregnant out of wedlock. She looks fantastic,…

You can eat sandwich savers hot 'n spicy for like 4 calories per 2 slices. You can have mini dills for like 2 calories per 4 pickles. The sodium is bad, but you could essentially eat an entire delicious jar for 100 calories. I echo any recommendations of Skinny Cow anything. The mini fudge bars are 45 calories. Have 2!…

I'm only on day 6 and have been logging it a 23 minutes of circuit training. If there's a general consensus of what it should be logged in, I'll change it up.

I have 4 cats (all pre-shelter rescue) in a 2 bedroom apartment. One bedroom has litter boxes and nothing else. FWIW, I have had a boyfriend longer than I've had the oldest cat. So that balances it out. Or something.:glasses:

I thought you had to be 18 to even sign up for MFP? Not to sound like an old fogie. I'm only 25, but what I know now vs what I thought I knew at 16...

I think that particular bodyfat calculator is a little wonk. It puts me at 27% with all my measurements. The one I usually use (http://www.calculator.net/body-fat-calculator.html) tells me I'm about 37%, which, given the pictures posted upthread (and looking at the picture on the right in my display pic), makes perfect…

I know exactly who you're referring to! I think I might know who the OP is referring to, as well. I'm an atheist but I just roll with it. I can handle positive preaching (I just ignore it), but if someone gets judge-y in their religion (the reason I'm an atheist to begin with), that's going to be a problem. I've only…

Never will I ever be "skinny". My body is literally not built to be a size 2 or 4. I think that with a lot of hard work, I can absolutey be a size 7-8, which will not be "skinny" for me. Even when I was obese, I had an hourglass figure. I've got a chest, and large hips. I've got some definition in my waist. I've also got…

I get home from zumba at 8pm and generally have supper cooked and ready to go by 9pm! Then I go to bed like 2 hours later. Hasn't messed with my loss yet! To be fair, I have the 2lb pink dumbells:laugh: . And the 3lb purple ones. Just moved up to the 5lb black ones. Everyone has to start somewhere :blushing: But!…

2000? ETA re: that's closer than your first guess but still makes me old before my time haha :) But I'll take it ;)

Didn't read the whole thread, but I'm 5'4" started at 215 and my goal is 140! So, twinsies? Haha. I've lost 46 so far. Expecting the next 29lbs to come off much more slowly.
