I also have the low-income membership to the Y, and I love it. Beside the normal cardio and weight equipment, you've got the big-*kitten* swimming pool and tons of classes (I do Zumba 4x a week, because it's so much fun), included in the membership.

In just because we're ticker twins. Woop.

At the liquor store, there's a poster about being asked for ID that says 'some day you'll have to drink soluble fiber. enjoy looking young'. Implying that only the elderly need to supplement fiber. Welp, I'm 25, had the same problem as you, and have started putting powdered fiber supplements in my tea twice a day. Let's…

In general, I'm my favorite Canadian. Followed by my boyfriend. But looking outside of that narrow scope, Commander Chris Hadfield for sure!

I'm only 7.5% smaller than I think I am. I guess I know my body :) And apparently, I'm the 'perfect hourglass'. THAT was a confidence booster, for sure! I'm between the 4th and 5th bodies.

I take pictures monthly. I started 3 months and 20lbs in, so I don't have any from when I was my largest, which is unfortunate. I do side-by-sides (paste 'em together in paint) with each month's pictures, and I'll lso do a side-by-side of my most recent with the first ones. So while I may not see a huge difference between,…

When I started doing zumba, I took my measurements. It was the first time I took measurements (was down about 32lbs at that point). 8 weeks later, I've lost a solid 5 inches off my waist (and 13ish pounds). Guaranteed that if there's a formula, 13lbs does not = 5 inches off. I lost them because of the way I was training my…

I've only started trying to run these past 2 months. I've been walking as my main form of transportation my whole life (I don't have my license, can't afford a car so I haven't bothered), and speed-walking for the majority. Lately, I've been doing about 65% walking and 35% running. I've suffered from depression since I was…

I drink 12+ ounces of wine 6 night a week. I quit fast food. I quit smoking. I don't eat chocolate (not a fan). So, wine is my indulgence. I just work it in to my calories. I won't sacrifice it; some people have pizza. Others still have (delicious, oh how I miss thee! - but my health thanks me for quitting!) cigarettes. I…

One of my Zumba instructors looks larger than I am, and I'm still pretty overweight, Girlfriend has NO jiggle and more stamina than I could ever even IMAGINE having. Take that for what you will. I'm also in better shape now than I was 20lbs ago (my lowest adult weight). Edit: since others noted, I will as well. I'm 5'4",…

I have been swimming since age 5. I live on an island and we have tons of beaches. Everyone here learns to swim at a young age. That being said, it turns out that, for me -and likely many others -, "I can swim" basically means "Oh, I can move in the water in a way that means I don't drown, for a long time, but that's…

Besides the fact you look fantastic, I LOVE hearing people had success starting with Leslie Sansone - that was where I started with exercise for the first 2 months, then I graduated to Zumba (my current 4x a week obsession!). My short-term goal is 75lbs (more than half-way there!) and long-term is 85, so it's so nice to…

1) 20s (25, so dead-mid) 2) 169 3) Nova Scotia (Canada) 4) Beginner exerciser, jogging 5 days a week, swimming twice, Zumba 3-4 times. 5) 6 days a week. 6) It depends. If I'm up early, yes. If I'm up past 10AM, I have a breakfast/lunch hybrid. 6) Supper. 7) 2 or 3. It works for me rather than the 6-small-meals many people…

Oh, definitely add too many selfies to my list. I think it should be noted that for the vast majority of people, they *do* want to see pictures of their friends' kids (and dogs[or cats, ferrets, horses, budgies] and friends, as someone noted above). It's just when you're posting 500 pictures a week, it gets old. And I…

I got rid of my whole Facebook last summer, I was so frustrated with people. Types of offenders who made me tear my hair out: The annoying but benign: 1) Look at my baby. Did you know I have a baby? Did you know I didn't know life til I had a baby? Did you know you're not a good person like me because you don't have a…

This. I escaped the obese BMI a week and a half ago and am glad. That being said, what anyone wears at any size is absolutely none of my business. Nor is it yours. Edited to add: There's also the whole thing where people automatically assume someone who is obese is hideous. I know skinny women, fit women, chubby women, and…

You both can come sit with me. I work wine in to my calories 6 days a week (I'm never sick. Possibly because that glass and a half per night has my insides pickled ;)). I'm losing steadily. I haven't had an actual binge (like going more than, say, 200 calories above my net for the day) in the 6 months I've been on MFP. My…

Yeah, when I started at 215 (I'm an inch taller), I was in a 16 (sometimes an 18, on 'bad' days). I'm 30lbs less and an inch taller than the OP and I'm in a 14 most of the time. I'd need to weigh 160 to be a 12 all the time. Which just goes to show that bodies are built in a wide variety of shapes!

5'4", 170, and a size 14 if they're low-fitting (my hips are like 42.5 inches, whereas my waist is 34.5 - so if they're higher-waisted, a 12).

I'm on day 88 smoke-free and I've been consistently losing weight the entire time. I know weight gain is a massive concern for a lot of people when quitting, but I promise you - you will not gain weight if you don't allow yourself to. Though, at the end of the day, even if you did gain a teeny-tiny bit, the health benefits…

I weigh in almost-daily but don't record a loss unless it holds consistently (or declines further) for 3-4 days. For example, today I weighed in at 3lbs lighter than two days ago, which I can pretty much chalk up to eating very few solids yesterday. Water weight. If I only weighed in once a week and recorded, say for…

I didn't want to weigh in (pun? Maybe) this thread, but seriously: Someone slamming skinny people, saying 'real women have curves' and so on - that's *not* fat acceptance. Fat acceptance is not treating overweight people like second-class citizens, because their weight is none of your f*cking business. Same as a thin…

\What's funny to me is that I 'run' outside, and have only ever run outside, because I couldn't afford a treadmill if hell froze over (I have a gym membership, but I only use it for classes and swimming. The actual 'gym' sends my anxiety through the roof!). My 'running' is in 60-second bursts, with 90sec-2 minutes off,…

I wear 2 sports bras at a time, and I buy them from Target. They aren't fancy; just Champion brand. But better than if you just hit Wal-Mart. I wear a smaller size under a larger one. Gotta keep the girls under control! As I'm quite underemployed at the moment, most of my workout attire is a) Wal-Mart or b) thrifted. Yeah,…

I quit smoking about 75 days ago (oh, not that I'm keeping track...), went on the patch for 1 week, cold turkey ever since. The smoking dreams are a weekly occurrence. If I had to choose between an entire pizza or a cigarette right now, with no health consequences - you bet your *kitten* I'd take the cigarette!

Cardigans for daaaaaaays. Especially the nice loose and flowy kind that fall past your hips. Even though I'm out of the 'obese' zone now, I live for my long, pretty sweaters. When I was a size 18, people assumed I was a 14 (those that I polled that I knew would be honest with me), because I was a decent dresser. Now that I…

I've had cheat dreams. It'd be one thing if I just dreamed that I had a feast of crappy food, but the fact that I *know* it's something I'm not supposed to eat large quantities of, that even my dream-self is aware of that, is creepy. The past few months, I've found I become lucid at least 4-5 times per week (I don't know…

I retract my previous post (Angry Whoppers). These. Absolutely. I still work a glass (or 2  :smokin: ) of wine in to my calories almost every single day. And when it's time to splurge a little, pizza it is!

ANGRY WHOPPERS. From Burger King. Because I could freakin' live off of those things. I've been really good and haven't had one in months, but the cravings are still there because they taste like greasy, spicy, MAGIC. Everyone else can have all the sweets and chocolate they want, bring on the fat and sodium for me …

Got a 118-day streak going, log everything I eat, and every workout. And sometimes I get wordy and bang out statuses (that mainly feel like talking to myself LOL). I love to read other people's diaries and statuses :) So basically, I'm really active. I think the fact that this and instagram are my only forms of social…
